Questionable Thoughts About 2013, and Beyond

I have faulted our d for 2 years, when teams score 25 to 35 points how can you not fault the D even if we win, there is still problems there. So now we have regressed back to the 2010 season, playing uninspired ball against neb, and a bad start to 2014. Who would have imagined that Vandy would have a better record that us, or the USC would end up no 4 in the polls and us no where. We have become a middle of the pack program, and there is not reason to believe that will change as long as CMR is here. Some say who would be as good or do better than CMR, well look at Chiznik in Auburns 2nd year NC, look at Saban in 5 yrs a Al 2 NC, and Malzion 1st yr a Auburn play for t NC. Heck anyboy could do a better job the CMR. I just can't believe the the powers at UGA don't want more than a few wins and a 3 loss 1 win bowl record over the past 4 yrs.
One last thing then I'll shut up, if you think CMR will have QB try outs you are wrong, HM stuck out his time just as Joe Cox did, and the best QB will not play, for CMR is loyal and will play on HM until he get hurt. You can take that to the bank. Spring practice for QB will mean nothing this year.

As soon as HM decided to redshirt to create the one year of separation between himself and Murray, I knew the
job was his in 2014... period.. end of story.
Actually.. I think most here agree with you completely. I am not sure anyone actually believes there will be
a real "open" competition for the job. There will be lip service paid to competition for jobs, but that's not
how MR rolls.
He's so into tenure that I'm surprised he doesn't do volunteer work for the teachers unions.

AllDawgs5 wrote: Buc, agree about AM. He was very talented, but he did not rely on talents alone. One of his greatest skills to me is that he was very coachable. I can remember mistakes he made early in his career. He had a lot to learn with reading defenses, understanding how to attack zone coverage. He came a long ways. A great work ethic, and being coachable no doubt are talents not many have. AM did. That made him into what he was the last 2 years. Again, was just making a point that he must have been coached up quite a bit from his freshman year to his senior year. I believe any ways.
Really not that important because as long as we keep the defense the way it is, we will never be a contender. Don't care who and what is on the offensive side of the ball. No defense, No championship. Well unless we join another conference.
GO DAWGS - I could kick myself 100 times for backing CMR. Only reason for keeping CTG is to take attention off himself when the water starts boiling.
Don't believe anybody should argue that Bobo has done a great job at coaching the QB's. Also don't feel CMR only starts the senior at QB......he started Greene, Stafford and Murray as freshmen (I know, I know, Cox started then Stafford came in when Cox was injured in the 2nd game with USC I believe.....imo irrelevant)
Like AD5 said above.....until we get a D we all can forget a NC.

I like Faton and I like Mason. It could be handed to Mason, but I do not see it. I will give Mason some credit. Not coming from the mouths of coaches, but many players have been very adamant that Mason is the real deal. That is from the players. Means more to me than coming from the coaches. But at this point nothing would surprise me with our coaches so I am not going to rule it out.
Regardless of what the offense does, I don't think it will have much impact. Still will have no punt return game, blocked punts, muffed punts, a defense loaded with talent that should be able to keep any offense under 30, etc...
I will cheer harder than ever, but they are already trying to start the hype. Believe I saw where UGA was already in the Top 15 in polls looking at next. I am not buying it. 8-4 shouldn't be a top 25 team.

As for this year, I know Clemsum lost a lot of players, Watkins, boyd, and we play them in Athens, so we should beat them, then USC, don't think we can win in Columbia SC nor Columbia MO I think Vandy will give us fits again as well as Tenn and Fl. Some are saying 2014 will be UGA year, as I see it with no changes in our DC, it will be another disappointing year. I think HM will do OK and we will score some points , but with no change in ST or the D, we may go 6 and 6 maybe 7 and 5.
I am really disappointed that CMR is satisfied with the stats and play of our D and ST to feel that nothings needs to change. He is living is a delusional world filled with fake promises and no means of understanding.
