Keep crowing how good Bobo is. Next year will be crowing a different tune. AM is GONE no one left to take over when Bobo screws up.....

Wouldn't be the first time I have eaten crow... lol

As I said previously .. since our offense, defense and sometimes kick-offs go into the "playing not lose" mode I wonder if Richt is taking over the play calling or mandating conservatism.

In the future Bobo might be a problem but he has not been the last 2 years or so. Defense and Head coach have been.

Some are wise and some are otherwise !

AllDawgs5, very good point about AM being armed with the talent that was injured. Shows just how valuable AM was.

Will never forget AM's face when we played Auburn. Came off of the field, hit the sideline pumping his fist and the biggest smile I have ever seen on his face.

I also remember the look on AM's face and the towel in his mouth when the lack of defensive coaching allowed Auburn to take its first step toward the NC game. Second game of course was Alabama.

Called timeout, and our head coach took the hit for lack of coaching. So, not to disappoint our head coach, you are spot on coach . . . . again.

Totally right about the Special Teams. Auburn in the end zone, not fair catching or dropping the ball, believed in what they could do, and did.

FSU in the title game also did what AM did against Auburn. Went to the short hitches in the second half and won the football game.

Will say this, the offensive line for FSU in the second half was not the same offensive line that played the first half. Garner's boys got tired, same problem he had when coaching in Athens. Hard to break old habits. With the run that Auburn made this season, Garner will probably get a lot of depth in the upcoming recruit signings. Know that he got one that we could have used. We will see Auburn in Athens.

Allow me this. I think it is pretty remarkable that AM went to Auburn and played the way he did. Put points on the board, had their defense guessing, same thing he did to Alabama in Atlanta. Both places, our defense were the culprits. Not the players, grantham. Does not have a feel for college football. Apparently the NFL either, otherwise he would have dropped Georgia like a hot potato. JMO.

Really excited about Keyon Brown coming to Athens. Bigger, faster than Jarvis. Mean as a snake on the football field. Fears nothing. He will commit to the Red and Black. Here is hoping that they get Keyon up to speed right away. Do I think grantham will? Nope.

Enjoying reading everything in this thread. Might do certain coaches some good to put their eyes on some things that are being said here. We too have been in the "arena". Some of us were better than second string. Just saying, again.

36869, you are as honest as the day is long.

I have posted this video before. Think now would be an appropriate time to post it again. Believe it goes along with what is being said here.

Especially like the words (most of them) that sets the video into motion.

On this vanilla offense thing... no one minds seeing a straight handoff going for 75 yards...

No one minds running. I sure don't, and I too think we get too conservative at times.

I think what we are defining as "vanilla" is more of... we all of a sudden start calling
run up the gut on 1st (stuffed), run up the gut on 2nd (stuffed) on 2 or 3 or 4 consecutive
drives when it's something we haven't done all day long.

It's like we change our entire personality as an offensive team and let off the throttle, and
even that wouldn't bother most of us except that we often end up losing the game (coughvanderbiltcough)
or struggling mightily to hang on to a win over a team we should just kill.

We struggled this year on D, badly... and while TG is definately...DEFINATELY a big part of it; the inexperience
didn't help things. We should be getting our reserves more PT, but we often can't because we go
conservative too soon. We let bad teams hang around way too long, and at the end of games we've still
got our D starters on the the field. We have to keep them on the field in order to preserve
a victory in a game when our starters should be on the bench for the entire 4th qtr, so we can get our
reserves some PT.

Problem is... is that Richt, Bobo, or both? That's the real question and we all have our own personal
opinion about it, but the idea that we let off the throttle and often keep inferior teams in games way too
long is accurate in my most humble opinion.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

An added thought to Keyon Brown. McClendon is responsible for KB signing on with UGA. Not you know who. You know who is m r and t g.

Believe we are going to lose McClendon unless some changes are not forthcoming.

Wonder what would happen to UGA recruiting if that happened?

I saw what happened with recruits when Garner left. Did not see top rated athletes flocking to the NFL shield that grantham wears.

I am also watching closely what happens with grantham and his recruiting. Have watched the past three years, see those that he spoke about on his arrival leaving his "radius" for other schools.

Lots of negative talk, "Group" needs to understand that some of us outside of the Athens City Limits understand what is "really" going on.

Like sadlerdawg said, when the flushing is truly over, we will be behind by years.

grantham makes what? McClendon makes what? Looks like another bad investment on return to me. Just saying . . . . again.

sadlerdawg, AllDawgs5, 36869, wlayton, Wartdawg, averagedawg, ogredawg, yd1 and anyone that I left out, not intentionally, opinions. I do this for a reason. If you disagree or have a different opinion, know you guys will put it out there.

I believe that grantham will take Keyon Brown and play him the same way he did Jarvis Jones. While that might not be a bad thing, is it the best way to use Keyon? Fits the 3/4.

You guys played. Right now I believe that speed on the edge, defensive end in a (four man front, true four man front) scares the absolute heck out of the tackle and the coach for the other guys. If he is good enough, a back has to get involved. If I am coaching the defense with a weapon like Keyon Brown, he is one of my defensive ends.

Check this out and don't throw stones at me. Talent is talent and in the link below, I know this young man is going to be all that in the NFL. Again, grantham does not understand college football. Keep saying that, but all I can do is look at his resume.

This is Keyon Brown made over. Hope everyone will read the information provided in the link. Moved from linebacker to defensive end.
