Whatever happened to Mark Richt the coach of anything? He genuinely seems to be disengaged from most of the things
that I call "coaching". I doubt seriously he's "hands on" anything other than the paycheck.
Why would these top notch RB's keep coming here?.... great question, now I would like to see an answer. I've thought
about this a lot, and I can only come up with a couple of ideas... Immediate playing time (hey I can get to the NFL quicker!)
and maybe the fact that we run a pro-style offense that is great preparation for the NFL where they can go and actually
get coached up to reach their true potential.
I honestly think the "traditional" pro-style offense has something to do with it as evidenced by the number of players
who go on to be successful in the NFL out of our program... Problem is "traditional pro-style offense" is losing it's allure
as "pro-style" is changing quickly.
Other than those two guesses.. playing time and the style O we run.., no clue. I would always choose UGA if I was a high school
player, because I am an unabashed homer who would never dream of going somewhere else if UGA wanted me. Not so sure that's
the case with all the RB's we get, but I don't know that for a fact... so once again I am just back to my wild guesses.

Guesses? Don't think so. Good post.
Head coach has one of those really good bicycles, the ones that would coast longer with less effort than most, back when we rode bikes.
Watched a couple of Kublanow's teammates pull him away from a confrontation with a Nebraska player. Mike Bobo mentions it's going to be interesting. That has been missing for far too long.
Going to have to figure out who the best five are? Big statement there Bobo.
I have heard more from Nick Saban on television as a guest than I have heard from our head coach and defensive coordinator most of the year. February will tell the tale on who has been effective on the recruiting trail.
“I do think Kublanow gives us a little bit more of a physical presence inside,” offensive coordinator Mike Bobo said of the 6-foot-3, 290-pound Marietta product who was the only freshman offensive lineman to play this season. “He’s got some power. It’s going to be interesting.”
“We’ve got Kolton and John, both can play tackle, and Beard,” Bobo said. “We’re going to have to figure out, as I always say, what the best five is, but I think we’ve got a chance to be maybe a little bit more physical up front. We have (center) David Andrews coming back, who’s always a plus. I think he played great all year.”

Bobo coordinates most of the recruiting on the offensive side of the ball. He wants skill players who can light it up so his lack of coaching skills do not show as bad. AM coached this offense last year and it showed big time that he did just that in the loss to the Huskers. No doubt in my mind that AM would have taken over the coaching of the offense in that game and won.
Best thing for UGA is for Ga. Southern to make Bobo an offer he can't refuse, CMR to retire to preach and CTG to go back to the NFL........

Watched last night's game just shaking my head. All I could think about what the Dawgs, and where we are at. Here are a couple of thoughts that I had:
1. Our O Line - They are always the center of attention. Watched quite a few games, and here are my thoughts. Our Offensive line handled Clemson better than osu did, and definitely handled the auburn line much better than fsu did. Many considered those 2 lines to be the best in the country. Then, I watched bama o line look, well about as bad as I have ever seen them look. Didn't look very good against aub either. Have said quite a few times, I don't think our o line is nearly as bad as we think they are. Do they have bad plays, of course. I view them kind of like Bobo, short-comings in the past will never be forgotten.
2. Mike Bobo is as good as any OC in the country IMO. Was AM a senior leader, Yes. Did he probably influence decisions that Bobo made, Yes. Being a good coach is more than just being the one to signal the plays in. AM was no doubt molded by Bobo. Decisions that he made, were decisions that Bobo had taught him. Being a good coach is about teaching your players the game well enough that they are an extension of you on the field. Again, this offense was a record setting offense, that averaged over 40pts against clemson, lsu, and usc. Our offense averaged 37 pts a game against Top 10 opponents. Willing to bet not many have ever done that.
3. Our defense and special teams will never be on the level needed to win a championship under this current staff. Both teams last night, attacked all night. They gave up some plays, but both were flying around, playing very fast, physical, inspired football. We are lucky to see that for maybe a quarter. Whatever the reason maybe. Whether it be CTG's system being to complicated, CMR not being a great motivator, etc. For whatever reason, I just don't see the same speed and tenacity from our defense on a regular basis. Don't think we ever will with this staff. Very frustrating and disappointing.

I think AM overruled decisions that Bobo made. They want skill players not the hand in the dirt type players so thier stats look impressive. IMHO.
If Bobo is one of the best OC's in the country how come we don't have an SEC title or BCS bowl berth, much less a BCS bowl win. Oh wait it is all CMR and CTG fault. I forgot.
