Letter to Bulldog Nation

Totally agree about OL, DL, and most positions.

I think the coaches should get some praise for wins, but should take most, if not all the blame for the losses.

The old saying...can't judge a book by its cover. Stanger may be the closest one on this forum that has a "real" idea about CMR. We have won the last two games and looked better then ANYONE thought we would against USC. I'm a man of faith and believe Richt can turn it around. That doesn't mean I will settle for 6, 7, or 8 wins every year. I can be a sore loser just like everyone else, but its getting annoying to constantly hear about Richt needing to just leave and join a missionary. Nobody was complaining when he was on his hot streak which he won two SEC titles and BCS bowls. People weren't happy during 2007 when we were looking like we were done until we rallied and beat Vandy! (of all teams) I am defending Richt because of what he has brought to the University of Georgia, not because he is a Christian. The last couple of years were very painful for every dawg on this site, in the seats on saturdays, and those watching it on television but I'm not willing to throw everything away just because of a couple of bad years. Mullen for HC really??? They had to go into OT just to beat LA Tech! Got stopped on 4th and goal against Auburn who got put out by Clemson. My main point is what is going to be said at the end of the year if we are perhaps 11-2 (bowl win)? Will the "Hot Seat" still be coming, I doubt it. It's common sense we need a new OC or for Richt to take over play calling completely, but Richt being fired isn't the correct move in my opinion. I believe he'll turn us around though. You guys can roast me for this post, but its how I see things. I pray each game we play now that we'll win even if its ugly just so Richt can get out of the hot seat. I've been a dawg since I picked up a football, take the post as you want.

The next time we win a meaningful game, I'll try my best to praise the coaches.

I fancy myself as a fair fellow.

All wins are meaningful, but you know what I mean.

I think after a slow start, many of us have started to give some subdued praise to
Grantham.. he's a coach!


I would add though that if it was some generic moron blowing hot air at the coaches, I'll
be the first to call them out. The issue here though is that many of those up in arms
about our coaches.. most everyone here.. these are not foolish people. They have convincing
arguments to back up their cries. It's not just random, baseless potshots.

He lost me over his perceived nonchalance after the '09 Kentucky game. It has been downhill since then.
I don't like losing to Florida every year.
I don' like losing to Tennessee every other year.
My brother's kid went to school with Richt's kid. I know he is a good man.
But if we can't compete meaningfully in the SEC, he needs to do the moral thing and quit.
Believe me, I would like nothing better than for him to turn it around.

For some on here that don't know averagedawg, he is without a doubt the most sincere, honest to the facts person that I have EVER had the privilege to read on this board. Has a knowledge of football and business that surpasses many of us. And . . . . Pastor's son . . . . do what you want with that . . . Don't think that Richt is a Pastor's son. Won't go any further with that.

For all that read this thread, I did send TN Dawg a personal message and ask him to come up and bring some of his thoughts to this open forum. This is his thread and as a member of this board, he should participate in what his friend had to say if he is going to put it up for us to see. What is TN Dawg's feelings about his friends comments?

I do think that CMR got so complacent 3-4 years ago that things got out of hand for him and he got between a rock and a hard place with some of his hires. But, two years ago the seat of his nice, comfy easy chair had one of those annoying springs pop thru and prodding his rear til it got real uncomfortable to say the least and he did what he had to do to patch it up. Its not completely fixed. Thats why he's got us. If he wants to stay and be successful(personally I think he does)he's got to go the rest of the way and get a new OC. I know I've heard it til I'm beginning to get that uncomfortable feeling in my easy chair and I dont like it. Seems real easy to me. Go DAWGS!!!!!! I'm ready to see the DAWGS on Saturday nights again!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will start BY saying YES I respect and think alot oc CMR yall should know this by now. BUT, This tean has not been the same since BVG left. been saying this for yrs now!!! YES WM is gone but bobo is still here!!!! Im sorry but there is NO EXCUSE for our Oline looking the way it does. This is the State of GA and your telling me we couldnt FILL our OLINE with good linemen? WHAT? every school in the SEC has good lineman from GA. WHY dont we? also the Im tired of the Spec teams looking like the Keystone cops running in to each other letting big play after big play go by. And how are we surprised anymore by on side kicks or fake punts? bobo never knows when to run the ball!! it still amazes me how he dosent feel the flow of the game. we get to the red zone running then he starts with all pass we have no real oline then gets AM either punished or turnover. best result FG!!! when should be TD. SO I just want RESULTS NOW!!! IT IS NEXT YR FOLKS!!!!!!!
