Not to be a jerk to the original poster or the person who wrote the letter, but as soon as
I read that they value an individual more than they value supporting the team:

I checked out.

Think maybe I should start at the beginning of some threads and read them after they have been up for several days, seem to get the full picture doing that. I read everything that is posted on this board pretty much. Takes a while and I have to let some of the posts sink in and try and visualize what is actually being said by certain members.

Did not find a lot of disagreement throughout the thread, some seriously good posts that are thought provoking. wlayton, you and I had some small talk a while back when Steve opened the forum up for folks to come in. That was not the first time he has done that, however there have been some to come that really do not get the spirit of this board. You and I agreed between ourselves that this is a good crop. Not many boll wevils in this bunch.

Board went off in a couple of different directions, but there was one recurring theme, I felt. It was the issue of whether or not the offensive side of the ball was being all it could be. Any that have participated or read this thread know the answer or the members feelings to that issue.

Did not read one anti-Richt complaint about what he believes. Actually, found the same posts on Richt and his beliefs coming out to be as one. No slaps in the face, nor knocks on personal issues. Did see posts on duties that are required by a head football coach, especially at a D1 school such as UGA.

I went over to stanger's thread and borrowed this from him. It says a lot, and he is a trusted member. Does it get any clearer than what stanger says below, don't think so. Richt is protecting Bobo just like he did WM. Bobo is not a offensive coordinator, what in the world was Richt thinking . . . . . or better yet, was he thinking. His hires have not been good, think McGarity saw that and jumped in with both feet. Quite frankly, Richt needs all the help he can get.

When the game was over at ol miss there was 2 gates the players had to go through to get to where the bus's family friends and fans where. Well I was in the know and got around those gates with my wife and friend that was with us the first person out of the locker room was a player the 2nd was a conditioning coach the 3rd was bozo dressed in his suit and tie. He did not walk through the same gates as everyone else including coach richt and Gardner and all the rest of the players. Bozo went all the was around to a different gate so he wouldn't have to walk through all the fans family and friends and I saw that with my own eyes.

I think he's scared of some of those players mama's myself and think the mama's seem to know more then bozo does by sitting with the family the last two games.

Mike Honcho wrote: Hey guys, I'll preface this by saying I "skimmed" through the posts so I may have missed a comment or two. That being said, don't seem to see a lot of "bottom line" talk in this thread.

Bottomline, CMR is paid to win football games. Not trying to sound rude here, but it's not a coaches job to raise good young men...that job falls on the shoulders of the parents who sent their kid to the school. The moral fiber should be in place by the time they get to college. That being said, would I want my son to play for an unethical, immoral coach? Absolutely not, but I would want him to play for a winning coach. You can put it back on Bobo's playcalling or lack of physicality on the defense, or any number of things. Bottomline, WE'VE noticed these things as fans...it's CMR's job to notice them as the CEO of this football team and make the necessary changes. If he can't (which he hasn't proven that he can yet) we need a CEO who can.

Mike, can only agree. :)

This THREAD. We have had a lot of response to an open letter from a person that to this point has 5 posts.

TN Dawg have not heard a single comment from you, makes me wonder about what it is that you are trying to get us to understand. You come to this forum and post a "slanted message from a friend". Come on up, you registered to belong here, let's you and I and others discuss this.

Show me and others some Bulldog, Blue Ticks don't count here.

Buc,
I would welcome discussing things.

Sorry that I have not had a chance to respond. I don't seem to have the time to post as others do.

I am not trying to get you to understand anything. I guess I should have stated that I agreed with certain parts in the letter. I feel CMR has brought the program ahead since he took over. However, that would not have been much of an advancement from the Goff and Donnan years (Donnan did beat UF though). I respect him as a man.

We miss our objectives occasionally. When this happens we make adjustments. Sometimes those adjustments have not been made fast enough for me...a la Martinez and now Bobo. I understand there are those who want CMR to go, sooner than later. IMHO his biggest mistake was winning 2 SEC championships within his first five years. Now it is expected every year.

I thought the whole purpose of this forum was to spawn good open debate throughout the Bulldog Nation and was not aware that the number of posts determined your ability to do so. So, excuse me. I will work harder.

Not that it matters, I grew up listening to LM each Saturday, my first Bulldog book was "The Ghost of Herty Field", was on the sideline when Willie McCLendon broke the UGA rushing record against VMI in '78, and wear a #34 jersey to our tailgates. Please don't refer to me as a Blue Tick. I only live and work in TN because this economy makes me.

I bleed R&B. Look forward to many more discussions. Thanks for your input.

No offense taken. I just wish CMR would be a little more objective in evaluating his coaches. I often feel he would fall on his own sword to protect them. Don't think they would do that for him. Just saying.
