duck, this is exactly why I hold so much respect for you. Folks call it what you want, back when duck was getting some trash talk on this board, there were a couple here that understood and respected what duck had to say.

This THREAD. We have had a lot of response to an open letter from a person that to this point has 5 posts.

TN Dawg have not heard a single comment from you, makes me wonder about what it is that you are trying to get us to understand. You come to this forum and post a "slanted message from a friend". Come on up, you registered to belong here, let's you and I and others discuss this.

Show me and others some Bulldog, Blue Ticks don't count here.

I am going to play devils advocate here.

I want to preface this by saying I agree that Bobo must GoGo!!

I may not have read some of the post correctly, but this is what my thought was when reading a couple of the last post:
Some say we win in spite of coaching, is this true? So we don't give the coaches credit when the players do the jobs they have been given, and then win the game.
Then when players make mistakes, we lay that completely at the feet of the coaches.

Is that what I am understanding?

I don't think you can have it both ways. Either the coaches coach them to victory or defeat.

I think we have been very mediocre, and that has been the coaches fault, but I also feel that they may be turning a corner, not for sure, but I do see glimpses.

Still want Bobo gone. Richt call the plays or get a high profile OC.

I know what you are saying ALLDAWGS5, and we or me are not tring to make him some kind of saint. You are correct, we have no idea what goes on at practice. I have a pretty good idea, until this year not much went on at practice. We were a terrible team in 09 and 10, so as I said he runs a loose ship. He in my mind is not a coach, you look at the proven coaches out there that continue to win. What do you think about Peterson at BS. he continues to win I have not seen hin jump up and down slap players throw his head set ect. I can't remember seeing Les Miles loosing it on the side line. A good man is not going to win very many games for UGA in this day and time. I really like him as a person, don't get me wrong, I just think he is not the coach UGA needs if we want to ever win the East again, much less the NC.

I don't think anyone lays it all on the feet of the coaches when players make mistakes, but when
you see the exact same mistakes being made time and time again.. you start to wonder about the
coaching.

When you see a debacle like our game-plan against Boise, you wonder about the coaching.

Even when we win... when you see absurd play calling.. you wonder about the coaching.

I do think you can win DESPITE the coaching when you are playing Coastal Carolina, and to
some degree teams like Ole Miss. You might even squeak out a win against a top tier team
from time to time. You will not however win 2 or 3 games in a row against the top half
of the SEC with bad coaching.

I totally respect your opinion, AllDawgs5. For all I know Coach Richt might be one mean SOB in practice. Unfortunately, perception is reality today and if you are perceived as soft, it's hard to shake that image.
I guess at my age, in my business, I am used to being in someone's face or someone being in my face. My apologies for being one crabby old fart.
He lost me over his perceived nonchalance after the '09 Kentucky game. It has been downhill since then.
I don't like losing to Florida every year.
I don' like losing to Tennessee every other year.
My brother's kid went to school with Richt's kid. I know he is a good man.
But if we can't compete meaningfully in the SEC, he needs to do the moral thing and quit.
Believe me, I would like nothing better than for him to turn it around.

Woodstockdawg, we have players every year go to the NFL, but we have no OL or DL or RB DB make the all american team. To me and this is just my opinion, we do not coach these players on how to play. The coaches are to teach them how to block, tackle, run pass routes,ect. We have done alittle better on that this year, but the 3 previous years, we plainly sucked. You have some special players that are gifted enough to leard on their on like LM for USC and I think IC does pretty good on his own. But the majority of players have to be taught the way things are done in college level. Sometimes to be fair, I can blame a player for a fumble or droped pass when he may be wide open for a TD, but when it come to pass protection, run blocking, ect, I lay that on the coaches.
