No offense taken. I just wish CMR would be a little more objective in evaluating his coaches. I often feel he would fall on his own sword to protect them. Don't think they would do that for him. Just saying.

TN Dawg, thanks for coming up. When you reach my age then you can spend more time on the computer stirring up trouble. Worked long and hard for the right. :)

Have no idea how long you have monitored this board, but from your post above, there is no doubting your credentials. Hope that you remain here, spend some quality time helping us move this board and UGA forward.

There have been a few folks that come to this board as happens on any board and run before they crawl or take baby steps.

Your statement about falling on the sword is well taken and has been discussed here, often. Richt really needs to give us something that is missing and I personally think it is leadership.

Big, no, huge game Saturday at High Noon, here is hoping that we are ready for the gunfight at OK Corral, it will be a smash mouth football game. Love SEC Football. . . . Go Dawgs, withdraw the Blue Tick comment, welcome TN Dawg.

"I would add though that having the courage to examine your staff and make tough decisions there
is neither underhanded, nor unscrupulous" totally agree

I have said it a thousand times and will now make it a thousand and one.

Either Richt makes changes or UGA Changes Coaches.

He refuses to change BOZO , find players that can stay out of trouble and want to earn the privilige to wear the G. So He must go.

Last year everybody was bringing up Brad Johnson as OC, heck if he won't fire his BFF Bozo, he would certainly never fire his brother-in-law if things didn't work out.

Some are wise and some are otherwise !

Good on the no offense taken stuff.

I don't like to offend fellow UGA fans, as we all want the same thing. It's a message board, and that's
a place where we should all talk freely about our opinions.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

This THREAD. We have had a lot of response to an open letter from a person that to this point has 5 posts.

TN Dawg have not heard a single comment from you, makes me wonder about what it is that you are trying to get us to understand. You come to this forum and post a "slanted message from a friend". Come on up, you registered to belong here, let's you and I and others discuss this.

Show me and others some Bulldog, Blue Ticks don't count here.

Buc,
I would welcome discussing things.

Sorry that I have not had a chance to respond. I don't seem to have the time to post as others do.

I am not trying to get you to understand anything. I guess I should have stated that I agreed with certain parts in the letter. I feel CMR has brought the program ahead since he took over. However, that would not have been much of an advancement from the Goff and Donnan years (Donnan did beat UF though). I respect him as a man.

We miss our objectives occasionally. When this happens we make adjustments. Sometimes those adjustments have not been made fast enough for me...a la Martinez and now Bobo. I understand there are those who want CMR to go, sooner than later. IMHO his biggest mistake was winning 2 SEC championships within his first five years. Now it is expected every year.

I thought the whole purpose of this forum was to spawn good open debate throughout the Bulldog Nation and was not aware that the number of posts determined your ability to do so. So, excuse me. I will work harder.

Not that it matters, I grew up listening to LM each Saturday, my first Bulldog book was "The Ghost of Herty Field", was on the sideline when Willie McCLendon broke the UGA rushing record against VMI in '78, and wear a #34 jersey to our tailgates. Please don't refer to me as a Blue Tick. I only live and work in TN because this economy makes me.

I bleed R&B. Look forward to many more discussions. Thanks for your input.

Thanks for clarifying your post TN Dawg and one comment is I do not expect the Dawgs to win an SEC title every year......just too tough to do that in this conference......but like I stated before I expect the Dawgs to COMPETE for the title year in and year out......

welcome to the board you will find this group here is the best......and look foward to your posts

I could not agree with you more. The SEC is SINGLE TOUGHEST conference. Bar none. The second level teams will beat most teams in other conferences. You know that and I know that. I just get tired of hearing all those that think it should be a cake-walk each year.

All I want us to be competitive and eventually win that allusive NC. I still think CMR can do that...but he will have to correct some areas before that can be done.

Good post bulldawg36869. The major difference between Bobo and BJ is BJ truly understands all phases of offensive football. On this board I have certainly let it be known that I would love to see BJ as offensive coordinator.

Time to time I hear some say that they would love to have Gruden as head coach. All I will say about that is this, if Gruden did not have BJ in Tampa, he would never have gotten that ring. The "Bull" was all that.

Maybe someone could take over the head coaching job and Richt could return to his rightful place in football, coaching the offense. Just a thought . . . . :) I know, once a head coach, always a head coach. In their minds.

Might be time for us (UGA) folks to get serious about winning more than six or so games a year. Also understand what happened prior to last season, wins and losses. Coaching skills have improved dramatically in the SEC since Richt arrived. Know this, the entire hierachy in Athens is beginning to notice empty seats and starting times for our games. There is a message written in plain English if anyone wants to take a close look at the last 3, 4, 5 years.

One question I would pose to this board. What can Bobo do to change your mind about him remaining as Offensive Coordinator? Think I have the answer. Does Richt?
