Good post Southernlover!

I was at the game on Sat. & I honestly couldn't pin this loss TOTALLY on our coaches. Bobo called a much better game that he did against Boise (I know, nowhere to go but up after that debacle) but still, I'm afraid CMB is WAAAAAAY past the point of no return with the vast majority of our fan base, myself included. That said, the fake punt was a killer & you'd THINK good coaching would prevent that (I just dunno?). As for giving the other team the ball & watching em walk into the endzone (fumbles & INTs) that's clearly on the players.

You know, I went into this game expecting a bunch of boos & a blowout loss but was pleasantly suprised & very, very proud of the Red & Black for FIGHTING hard to comeback each time SC (or our own team) tried to deliver the knockout punch! Glad the fans kept cheering throughout the game as well & the boo birds didn't dominate the Athens sky.

Exciting game from start to finish. Got my money's worth no doubt but I left the stadium feeling like we let one get away...also left the stadium realizing that Boise is MUCH better than most folks think & that USC is by no means a top 10 team. Folks, we were the better team & I do take pride in knowing that USC brought their most talented team ever into Athens against a downtrodden & depleted group of young pups & even ol Darth Visor himself admitted that they didn't deserve to win.

By no means am I sitting here celebrating a "moral" victory but I did take SOME positives out of this loss as opposed to last week when EVERYTHING looked bleak & incorrectable. Pretty simple to me, if the team continues to improve & makes it to Jax. with only these same 2 losses we have today, the WLOCP will literally decide CMR's fate. If we drop a game or two before then, the I will chime in w/my 2 cents on who AD GooseDawg would hire to be our beloved Bulldogs next head football coach.

GO DAWGS-KEEP FIGHTING!

Gooooooose, where ya been??? Great to hear from you, how about hanging around this place a little more.

I've sat back and have read ALL posts and I've gotta say.....your post is dead on in my opinion. Perfect post and I saw Saturday's game exactly the same way......more objectively......well put Gooooooose!!!!

There is a lot that can be put on the players, but players names
have changed and the same mistakes keep happening.

I knew what the problem was whenever the coaching staff thought it was a good idea to go for FGS instead of TDs in the first QT. I mean really if you know SS you know he is going to come back and score and you will need all you can get. How did they not know it????????

Great post southernlover and great response goose.
I sat front and center and can tell you the dawgs played out their heart and souls in that game. Mistakes were made and it cost them.

With hard play and 110% effort sometimes mistakes are made. Correct me if I'm wrong, 28 points were given to USC by turnovers or penalties. Mistakes. Theres a fine line between giving 110% with a few mistakes (ie. pass interferences and so on) and giving 90% with no mistakes. Take your pick.

On the oher hand, FIRE BOBO NOW Coach Richt. I've been saying this for years.

This game was lost on turnovers alone. Our players played their hearts out. We just couldnt come away with the win. We pressured Garcia and made ML earn his yards (except for a couple runs) Im happy with the way our team played. I just wish on, Murrays fumble, somebody would have put a helmet on that guy :( Chop block, hold him, run him over with a car, something, just dont let him go untouched and get to our golden goose running full speed! Ill be surprised if Murray makes it through the season without getting hurt. He will be in my prayers this year. Anyways, we have an easy week this week then its back to SEC play. Im just glad we get back into it playing Ole Miss. Win some games and build some confidence! Im excited for the rest of the season and hopefully we will continue to play like we did saturday (except turnovers) One a bright note...IC and MM should be in the game EVERY play!!!

1) He's 5 days away from his first win of the season.

Which is about 19 days too long.

2) I saw some damn good looking UGA players on Saturday.

I saw a UGA team that gave away a winnable game through the same doggone ineptitude that we have seen for the past three years.

3) This team is going to get better each week.

How could it do anything but get better? But it still won't reach UGA standards.

4) Mac is simply not going to dump him after this season.

You probably know more about this than I do.

5) Do you really want to see the spread offense in Athens?

Whatever it takes to win, baby.

GATA! Woof!
