What coach Richt and the rest of his staff need to understand is that we will support Georgia no matter what, but we will be negative as the situation arises. Coach could take a page from the fans' book, and put a proverbial foot in the correct orifice when the situation dictates. I don't think CMR realizes that we're loyal to Georgia football (the program), but we can take or leave coaches or players if the same are not similarly disposed. I can lose any player on the team and not miss a beat in my loyalty to Georgia football. I can lose any coach and sleep well at night knowing there will still be Georgia football. Georgia can go o-fer in a season and I'll still love Georgia football. I think CMR ought to actually talk to a few of us and he might get a proper understanding of what "support" actually means. Support means we still come to games when we are able, still buy our hats and tees, still have stickers and magnets on our vehicles. What support is NOT is accepting mediocrity. What support is NOT is going quietly into that dark night of yet again being an also ran. Honestly, I can help him out with this. I'm sure we can get him my phone number or email addy and I'll be happy to enlighten him about the support he seems to pass off as the stuff of minority opinion.

LimeyDawg, he is fishing, problem is when you are in the middle of the Gulf or the Atlantic, hole in the boat, water coming in faster than all can bail. Boat sinks. Suspect that plans are being made as we type to figure out when he leaves.

One thing I would bet on. New AD, and the program continues on this course, someone is going to be replaced, and it won't be Adams selection for AD. Current coach can only survive if the Administration chooses that route. If they do that, cast your eyes on the turnstiles at Sanford.

If Tennessee puts us in an unbeatable situation on Saturday, the stadium will empty quickly. Those will be the 90,000+ fans that Richt says are on board. We all love the game, especially our football team. Corrections aren't made, dollars stay in our pockets. That has consequences on every athlete on campus. Many of us don't make 50 or 60 grand a week for non-performance or performance.

Richt quit on our team. Embrace him if you like, he has become the master of spin. "We are all together". I believe that, do live in Florida, and have some land for sale. . . .

averagedawg, I hope we win this one, especially for you.

We absolutely need this win.
It seems we have forgotten how to win.
Buc, I am hearing how a lot of Georgia fans are looking forward to basketball season?

Buc, I think that is just another insult aimed at the fans. He is so out of touch with reality that he doesn't understand, we still suppport UGA, just not him and his choices.

I'll say it again, there is no doubt he is a good man and his coaching style may fit some team or some league somewhere but it is not working at UGA or in the SEC. He either admits change is needed and makes those changes or he needs to go, one way or the other. PERIOD.

bulldawg36869, it does appear that way. Maybe (?) Richt needs help, public relations help and help on the field.

He has said that he does not pay a lot of attention to the sound bites going on around him, same is being said by MB. Both reading from the same script . . . the wrong script in my opinion. Some folks are willing to take everyone down to prove just how competent they are. That truly is a huge mistake. Worse than burning bridges.

Some folks on this site are willing to stay the course, can't knock them for that. They believe a certain way. Do I think they are right, don't think so, and some of these same folks will be the ones that shout the loudest when things get terminal.

Really want some of these folks to explain to the board why we are in this fix. Can't blame it on George W. Bush, but then again, maybe so, some do.

Why are we having arrests at the rate we are?

What has happened to our ability to score 6 rather than 3?

Why are we floundering when we have top 10 and 15 recruiting classes? For several years.

On the offensive side of the ball, should MB be over a Coach Searels? Could that be a problem?

What has changed about our defense from last year?
My two cents on this one. Same players that we had last year for the most part. Rambo made one huge game saving hit and now thinks that he has "it". Not good to call players out, but he was very vocal before foot met leather this year. His game is coming up this week. Hope (truthfully) he plays like he earned a scholarship to UGA. So far . . . .

Haven't seen a lot of 35 or so point games given up on a NEW DEFENSIVE SCHEME, a scheme that found its way to Athens this year. . . .some cob webs, but not what I witnessed under WM. King Adams needs to leave CTG alone. CTG, Belin and Lakatos need to talk some "street language" to these guys. Our football team understands that type of talk. Don't think so, go watch a Pee Wee or high school football game and check out what is being said. King Adams needs to keep sipping his cup of tea, finger curled and get lost.

Now if we are opposed to being a bit tough, then we are in-line to become the doormat of the SEC. Remember Kentucky on our turf last season? Think that was a fluke? What about 1-4 this year, a fluke?

Richt has been too much of a friend to family and ball players, he has tried it his way . . . . do any on this board think that it is working now . . . . Not talking about the first 4 or 5 years, talking about the last 3, 4, 5 years. If it is working for you now, then you and I are on separate sides of the facts.

Go Dawgs . . . . Tennessee is coming to play between the HEDGES, our turf . . . . do we defend our House or (sorry) pp it away again. Tennessee beats us here, want to hear some of the comments of sticking together and waiting another couple of years.

Beat Tennessee. Not too much to ask. Go Dawgs!!

Hey Yall, Yeah I understand what yall are saying about he needs time , Its different system I agree with that. However I do not see many adjustments being made. And our D looks like it did if not worse than a few weeks ago. I guess I am concered with the effort the tackling or lacj there of I mean for Goodness sake Colorado should nt have been able to do that to us or Miss st Our guys should have more pride in themselves and UGA and not let us be embarassed like this, I mean where does it stop. I really do think King adams is behind this CTG talk it makes sense now as to why BVG left. Cause I know BVG would not be told what to say or how to say it to HIs guys. That is what our team is missing is someone to put the Fear of God in them or a Boot up there Butts. They are only doing enough to get by because they are being allowed to just get by, instead of giving 110%. They should have 2 adays and full contact probably why we fumble so much not use to getting the wood put to you will do that our guys are soft and that is a big reason we are where we are. I really hate to think of this weekends game, cause I know ut will play physical.

Getdown11, the first line in your post leads me to ask this question.

Where do you come up with the number of years that UGA should continue at the current pace?

Not nipping at your heels, just sounds a lot like some of the comments coming out of Washington about pulling out of Afganistan in x amount of time.

Just asking, don't really think I am nuts, however, have been accused of such more than once in my life.

If I have a choice of coaches, which I don't, think I would choose Saban over Richt.

You guys are nuts for calling for CMR's head. I know I'm probably going take a lot of flak for this but I'm with Richt for at least another 2 seasons.

After reading the above again, I draw from your statement that you are willing to stay on this path for more than 2 years, you did say at least . . .

Buc,

I guess I should have been more clear. I am willing to stay on the path only given there are progressive results on the field. I expect much better by 2012.

It also depends on how much these guys progress. I can take a losing season this year but if the team shows improvement every year the next 2 seasons then yes I'm willing to stay the course a little longer.

Getdown11, I went back for the second or third time and read your original post in this thread. I am not really changing my stance, but you make some really good points, and I know that your heart is in what you say. Sometimes, especially so close to a disappointing loss, we kind of . . . can I say this . . . flip out. I do, and sometimes I have to go back and say to myself . . . . what was I thinking . . . . for example I have read everything that you have posted on this site, and you are damn good. (Just a little confused about the coaching thingy) B) :woohoo:

Don't know how you feel about some of the comments in your thread, but it has been another good one. wlayton and the boys had one not long ago. I like good, solid football talk, and of course the back and forth. This will pass, but there are dark clouds ahead and those that don't recognize this should get their heads out of the sand. Just too many things left of center to make UGA whole again.

One of our top posters lives in Tennessee and has been through a lot this past year. If we beat Tennessee, even though I live in Florida, going to put his name on a stake in one of my flower beds and paint it orange, or urange. Don't like orange, see too much of it down here. Have some of the local UF folks (friends) say to me, why don't you move . . . . I say, want to hang around long enough to see UGA kick UF again . . . .OK, here I go Getdown11, might need a coaching change. . . . . keep posting dude, you are NUTS, also. B) :woohoo:
