I'll stick up for Coach Richt

I look at what Coach Saban has done with this years team. He lost 9 good to excellent football players to the NFL last year.

Don't hear a lot of talk about rebuilding as I have seen here and other places in reference to UGA. That in my opinion is coaching. Difference between good coaches and excellent coaches, Coach Saban proved that again last night to UF.

2009 8-5

This is what happens when star players move on to the NFL and the coaching still stinks.

kentdaddy that statement says it all.

As I said in another thread, I think CTG has no clue how do defense at the college level and the type plays that colleges run. He has had all of spring and 3 to 4 weeks in the fall to get these guys ready. This is our 5th game, and the D has gotten worse each game. I mean we should be getting better not worse. You look at Tenn, they have a new DC and their D is good, we will be lucky to score 10 points on them next week. I say we made a mistake and it will not matter next year, for he is just another WM with not proven college experience.

I would rather give him one more game than one more year.

He is not going to magically become a better leader. He peaked already.

Agree kd

sometimes good position coaches do not make good coordinators

And sometimes good coordinators do not make good head coaches

Think we are the victim of both

Well KD I'm sorry but your argument sounds a whole lot like opinion. So I will have to respectfully disagree. I will say while Willie was there that the defensive side of the ball suffered a bunch. Not like Erk or BVG would have run it. That said we can agree to disagree.

I have never been nor will I ever be a sunshine dawg, you take the highs and lows and move on. I was there when we lost to Vandy, not pretty at all. I was there when Shock went down and JTIII kept going 3 and out. I was there when we spotted WVU 28 and got fooled on a fake punt at the end of the game. (Rodriguez got lucky cause they could not stop us at the end of the game)I was there when we lost to Auburn in a turnover game with a little help from the officials and a perfect pass from Cox to the tight end that Greg was late on coverage. I've seen the good and the bad, so until CMR's over all performance goes to heck I'm still in his corner.

As always GO DAWGS! GATA!

The thing is I provide data to support my opinion. Who hired Martinez? Martinez is gone and the defense is still soft? What remained the same? Richts teams have been undisciplined from the beginning. Whose fault is that? Who is the boss?

My guess is maybe you are just a less analytical fan. It is funny you mention the fake punt by Rodriguez in that bowl game. To you I am sure it was a ballsy call out of the blue. The reality is Rodriguez had used that same odd ball punt formation twice earlier in the game and gotten 5 yard penalties both times. The third time went perfectly and R-Rod set us up. I knew before the fake it was going to be a fake. I knew after the first odd ball formation that something was up. You can go back and re-watch the game if you do not believe me.
