Getdown11, the first line in your post leads me to ask this question.

Where do you come up with the number of years that UGA should continue at the current pace?

Not nipping at your heels, just sounds a lot like some of the comments coming out of Washington about pulling out of Afganistan in x amount of time.

Just asking, don't really think I am nuts, however, have been accused of such more than once in my life.

If I have a choice of coaches, which I don't, think I would choose Saban over Richt.

You guys are nuts for calling for CMR's head. I know I'm probably going take a lot of flak for this but I'm with Richt for at least another 2 seasons.

After reading the above again, I draw from your statement that you are willing to stay on this path for more than 2 years, you did say at least . . .

Buc,

I guess I should have been more clear. I am willing to stay on the path only given there are progressive results on the field. I expect much better by 2012.

It also depends on how much these guys progress. I can take a losing season this year but if the team shows improvement every year the next 2 seasons then yes I'm willing to stay the course a little longer.

Are you nuts man? Continued decline until 2012 would relegate UGA to SMU status. Richt needs to be fired tomorrow. I know that will not happen, but hopefully soon.

He has lost the team. They either do not respect his soft ass church approach or they have tuned him out. Either way he is the problem.

Over the years I have watched teams fall from grace, often it riles folks up. Below is a quote from Richt after the Colorado game.

“I think it’s a minority of fans who really come out horribly negative with our guys and this coaching staff,” Richt said. “But I think the majority of our fans are true blue and they’re gonna support us no matter what. I can say, walking off that field in Colorado, I thought the fans that showed up were phenomenal before, during and after the game.”

I am not sure where he is getting his poll numbers, but I would certainly disagree that it's a minority disagreeing with the way the program is being run and the results he is showing in the first five games.

Comment about true blue and support . . . he has lost it. SUPPORT NO MATTER WHAT . . . The coaching staff at UGA definitely needs a public relations firm helping them. Foot in mouth.

Slippery slope, the further you slip, the longer it takes to get back to ground zero.

Buc, I think that is just another insult aimed at the fans. He is so out of touch with reality that he doesn't understand, we still suppport UGA, just not him and his choices.

I'll say it again, there is no doubt he is a good man and his coaching style may fit some team or some league somewhere but it is not working at UGA or in the SEC. He either admits change is needed and makes those changes or he needs to go, one way or the other. PERIOD.

Some are wise and some are otherwise !

Probably should not say this, but will.

Richt is not in the same boat that the masses are. When you make the money that he makes yearly, and if he should be relieved of his duty at UGA, huge buyout in his contract that sets Richt and his family up for life. Nothing wrong with that, I believe in making money, and I believe in the Lord.

Why do I mention that? Many, including me over the years have said publicly what a good man he is. OK, and apparently along with being a good man, he along with others (agent/agents) worked out a fool proof game plan, a plan where Richt does not lose.

Richt should apply that same type of thinking, negotiating and preparation to the UGA football team. Our team is anything but secure at this point, and folks, it ain't getting better, unless there are some attitude/coaching changes made in Athens.

Some say Richt is not a quitter . . . . why should he quit . . . .

Hey Buc or Wlayton or any one else, Just would like to get yalls thoughts on CTG after last nights lack of performance.

I think you have to give CTG time to get HIS players into HIS system. He's playing with WM's players. Even Saban's D his first year was awful......remember they went 7-6 and lost to La Monroe. Remember, CTG also has two very good assistant's in Lakatos and Belin. Other than Boykin and Smith at corners, Lakatos has no DB's worth a darn. Belin has always been a great LB's coach.

Gotta give him a chance......
