The decline under Richt started years ago. This is not a new thing. This is the result of at least 5 years of mediocre coaching.

I now can say with out a doubt that CMR "WAS" a good coach. Its not that he does not know how to do something anymore. It seems as if he has lost his way, as if the players have lost faith, and his words are falling on deaf ears. The players simply are not responding.

Either from lack of direction or faith in their leader, I am not sure. We are not doing the fundamentals and not doing them with great effort. The emotion shows up on a spectacular play and then is lost moments latter as blocks are missed, tackles not made, or a penalty or turnover shows up.

Yes the D finally stepped up in the moment when they were most needed to force a long field goal but it should not have come to that. It truly is hard to recite the problems that exist because they are many.

Our line for all of its experience, looks pathetic. AM seemed to be under constant pressure. Our RB's just do not look very talented. Our TE's are MIA. And the angles our defense is taking is laughable.

There is no easy answer. We simply are not good at all. When AJ left the game, it was as if everyone was standing around asking, "now what do we do". NO LEADERSHIP! CMR gets one more year at best. And that is being VERY generous. If I had my way we would start over with all new coaches next year. Yes it would take some time to rebuild but at least HOPE would be alive...unlike now!

I would rather give him one more game than one more year.

He is not going to magically become a better leader. He peaked already.

Not quite understanding your decline logic in the last 5 years??

2009 8-5

Maybe the defense under Willie was part of that decline you're talking about but based upon the recent 5 years looks pretty respectable to me. Course Stafford and Moreno helped some. Looks like an up down people at skill position replacement thing to me. But then again I'm not expecting to win them all or lose them all. 48-16 about a .666 winning record. Any way I still support CMR and UGA.

Now one thing I will agree on is the dicipline thing has got to get better, I've pretty much had it with the "STUPID antics"!

2005 10-3

2005 began the beginning of the two hand touch defense. That year Auburn with Irons and Arkansas with McFadden ran all over us like we were marshmallows. There was poor coaching, poor discipline and poor effort. The record turned out OK because the team had amazing talent. That level of talent should perform better than 10-3. I knew WVU would run all over us in the bowl game.

I am beginning to see the softness was Richt and maybe mot Martinez.

2006 9-3

Lost to Vandy and Kentucky. That should never happen with a roster full of studs. Poorly coached still.

2007 11-2

This was the mirage. The boys played some good football once their guts were questioned.

2008 10-3

Preseason #1 with more talent than just about anyone. Came out flat against Alabama just like we did against WVU back in the bowl game. The team was ill prepared yet again. The Ga Tech loss clearly showed the poor tackling and discipline.

2009 8-5

This is what happens when star players move on to the NFL and the coaching still stinks.

I do not expect them to win them all. I do expect effort, discipline and aggressiveness. This is football and not choir group.

It all stems from the fact Richt is soft. You cannot ask Ghandi to lead people into battle. He does not have the stones to do it.

I will say this, I do still like CMR and respect him and I do believe he is doing all he can. The damage of having WM here to long is worse than I thought. The thing that really bothers me about this group of player, are They find a different way to lose each week, they are not a team, they are a group of "MEs" yes there are some that are trying and we know who they are. But a team must be on the same page and all give an effort on every play and not take plays off. They should have been Hungry this yr, like the teams that have beat us, but they are not. The D i understand is a work in progress but there is NO EXCUSE for giving the other team a TD on every opening drive. You cant spot the other guy 7pts to start every game, and we are not making the right adjustments. Dooleys guys are new this yr to, but at least his team is trying and had LSU beat. Our guys should have that same fire but they dont. I cant even begin to stomach another loss to UT. but I dont see how with this group of "MEs" that we will win next week. I dont even see us beating Vandy with group. And BY the way I am still flying my Dawg flags as always, I am still behind them but just looking at a sad reality. Anyway GO DAWGSSS!!!!
