Good read(s) throughout this thread guys.
The hiring of Jamie Newman has spurred a lot of talk on many boards. Provides the media with a sure fire topic to generate interest.
Going over Newman's stats . . . . had 11 interceptions. That does not bother me a lot for this reason . . . . Newman found himself and teammates playing from behind in many 2019 games. Playing catch up, not a good thought, usually not a good ending. In the video below Clemson Defensive Coordinator Brent Venables forced Newman to play from the pocket. Suicide in my book. I still remember Aaron Murray in the Auburn/Alabama games getting blasted. Jamie Newman has the size and strength to hold up under some hits, still not welcomed. Our defense should be pretty darn good in 2020, that will be a huge asset to Newman, not one he is use to as a matter of fact. Have to believe that Jamie Newman is going to relish passing to what should be a very good receiving corps.
I apologize for misspelling Jamie's name. Newman not Newton. My bad.

George Pickens has the biggest smile.....
You throw bro and I will run it down.... and catch it
Towel Toddy will be just one of many DC’s who will get to see our new QB...
HC spoke several times to the media this last season about not
Being able to change our personality on offense in a week’s time
However, he now has a winter, spring, summer and fall camp
Hearing rumors....his has a spot open to hire another on field assistant..
Money says he is looking at bringing in another offensive minded
Candidate...... Coley, Luke and ..... a third mind...
Luke played a big part in our success against Baylor....
Nobody on CKS ... staff has an ego problem.... same page focused
on Winning......

Pro Football Focus ( PFF ) had newman ranked as the 3rd best returing QB after the tall lady at Clemson and Fields.
After Burrows this season he was the most accurate in tight coverage.
And he can move. That game against LSU would have been a little different if UGA could have wrapped him up some of those times they had him dead to rights in the back field.
