I dunno folks I'm still think he's going by "loyalty". If that indeed is the case, then Bauta is next in line as our QB. Because I believe he has the longest tenure in Athens. If I'm wrong that he's been here the longest now someone please correct me.

sflanagan21, interesting comment.

Think we are on the same page if I am recalling all that has been said.

You have mentioned before that you are not on board with what you have seen from the head coach in the area of quarterbacking. Agree.

Am I reading this right? Head coach again found himself in a position of "having" to do "something" that he did not want to do or plan for.

A must win in Charlotte is what McGarity said. What I saw was Ramsey being put into a game against a highly rated defense and in my opinion, was lost from the get go.

Don't like "beating players up" but as I look back over the posts here I seem to remember a lot of talk on this board about playing time for the 2015 quarterback. Here is one of the points that I believe you and I agree on, something ain't right with the fork in the road that our head coach has taken before and here we are again.

You are currently coaching quarterbacks. You are very close to what is going on in high school football, I can guess and ask questions, which I do on occasion, you are there.

Believe you have mentioned Jacob Park, going to pull up a video as soon as I post this. I pay close attention to what you post, have read every word you have put on this board.

Want to ask this question. Believe I know what you think of Jacob Park. Don't know if you watched the video that I posted earlier showing Sam Vaughn and his talent. Allow me this. If both of these young men sit in 2015, as has Faton Bauta, there is a coaching problem.

Fill me in on some things from your perspective. See a lot of similarities between both of these young men. Tks. Buc.

Buc, way back about two years ago I started paying very close attention to Ramsey and I even made a couple of trips to watch him play live. It was very hard to get a solid reading on him because of the offense CC runs but when he did throw it from what I saw they were deep passes where his receiver was wide open. I did see him throw some nice passes in tight windows but with the O they ran he never studied nor had to study on how to read coverage. But with his arm you would be a fool to pass on him and not think he can't be coached to read the D.

Here is my take on Mason and this is just my opinion. I don't think for one second that CMR would have not started Ramsey this year if he thought Ramsey would have given the team a better shot to win a NC than Mason, that's just straight ludicrous to think. I think Mason had a very good grip on the playbook and when you have a Todd Gurley in the back field all you really need is a good game manager. Mason was for sure the lesser of the two evils (Mason and Ramsey) sorta speak.

So here is my problem with CMR and Bobo. Assuming that Ramsey is our future QB both CMR and Bobo knew what his weaknesses were and that mainly being that he can't read coverage very well nor can he pick up blitz packages/schemes very well. You can only learn so much on the practice field and in the film room as a QB, a lot of what needs to be learned has to happen in LIVE game action! We had the opportunity in many games to get Ramsey some valuable playing time not just mop up duty and it didn't happen which WILL back fire on us next season if Ramsey is our starter (for the record I think Park beats him out). Not Ramseys fault that he wasn't given valuable playing time, CMR and Bobo should have been more prepared to let Ramsey get in when it mattered but when the game was still under control in our favor.

Buc, Ramsey was so lost in the BB and that could have been avoided if he had more valuable playing time! That is on CMR and to me it does not make any sense at all. Even at the HS level you are always thinking about your future at every position and trying very hard to get them "real game time" action every chance you can get and not just mop up duty. Ramsey needed to see coverage and schemes in a bad way and it didn't happen. Again that's on CMR NOT Ramsey. But I still think Ramsey has SO much to learn that he may not ever get it because of the type of O that he played in HS, he is very far behind the 8 ball if you ask me.

I will say this and stand by it, Bauta is a very smart kid that is super competitive and game ready and he will NOT sit around at UGA playing second fiddle. I thought he was lights out in the G game and if I recall correctly AM said the kid knew the play book inside and out and was ready to start, not sure AM had any comments about Mason, just saying...

I think Jacob Park is all that and will be our starter next year. The kid is a passing machine, can extend the play, is NOT scared to take a hit and most importantly he has the heart of a Lion. Plus from what I've been told the entire team loves him and the swag and fierceness that he brings. I doubt FB will ever get a fair shake but I don't think Park can be denied, that's just my opinion Buc.

I have to be honest here, I have never watched any video on Sam Vaughn and I will have to watch the video you posted a few times before I give my evaluation of the young kid.

Buc, I watched the Sam Vaughn video and the kid has mad skills. VERY IMPRESSED ;)

I saw immediately the kid has an arm and can direct an offense. He also has something that Richt would take away...wait for it...his ability to run a read option and pull down the ball and take off if he were under pressure. AM also had this trait, but we rarely saw it.

With Richt's affinity for bonehead decisions(poochkick  ), who knows who'll be under center in 2015.

Great post #45 sflanagan.

So if the general consensus is that Mason was the best option, how is it that offensive/QB "gurus" like CMR and CMB come into so many seasons with a "game manager" as the best option. See Mason, Cox, Tereshinski.

Just like I think that the table stakes at UGA should be competing for the East EVERY year and winning it MOST years, the UGA QB should be among the top QB's in the SEC most years. Seems like that isn't usually the case. Doesn't make sense.
