"What would he gain? Teaching his version of "discipline" maybe?... teaching these kids that loyalty and keeping promises is more important than winning possibly? Ramsey could have been Montana and Mason would have still been our QB this year. I sincerely believe that."

I'm not happy with CMR either but that is unfounded and totally without reason.

There is not one coach in college football who would have sit Ramsey if he were Joe Montana. I think CMR makes bad decisions that cost us games. I think he should be fired. However, to think the man sits there and doesn't want to win a national title is just ridiculous.

"Gee," said Mark Richt sadly as he looked down at his bible. "I have a chance to beat Alabama tomorrow night and win the SEC title and play ND for the national championship. However, I feel better when we don't play for the title and come up a little short."

"I know hon", replied Mrs. Richt as she wiped the tear out of her eye. "I think it best to start your crappy players so that we don't have a chance to win the big game. that would be too much pressure on you."

"You know sweetie pie, I believe you are right. I know God sent you to me for a reason."

THAT thinking never crosses CMR's mind.

It's like coming up with the wild conspiracies when the truth is just as easy. LeeHarvey shot JFK and Mark Richt sucks as a head coach. Simple as that. Nothing more. If we had had Stafford on the team this year he would have started the SECOND he knew the playbook.

No one is saying that...

That's what we call a straw-man argument. I have never insinuated that Richt willingly chooses
to lose a game the way you described and to try and describe what I have said as being that is neither fair nor accurate.

Point to where I have ever said he doesn't want to win a NC. You wont find it.

I'm sure he does want to win a NC and he does want to win every game he coaches. I just happen to also think he's not above lesson teaching or having a thing about tenure and loyalty that taints his decision making.

I'll stand by the fact that Mason was our QB this year no matter what the day Richt promised him the job if he would redshirt and not transfer. Anyone can feel free to say it's baseless and I admit I can't "prove it"... just like they can't "prove" that it's not true that Richt
might sit a player for reasons other than pure ability.

I also admit I could be all wet about that and that he's just made some really bad decisions but that he honestly believed he was plaiung the right player.

...and I am for sure dead sick and tired of any defense of Richt that begins with mentioning his religious faith, and that's the way this began.

After watching Ramsey in mop up duty and when he played most of the Belk Bowl it should be pretty obvious to everyone that CMR knew what he was doing by NOT starting Ramsey over Mason.

It simply makes more sense that IF the wrong player was played, it was a mistake in judgement based on what he's seen in practices, meetings etc

Imo, in a court of law, it would be much easier to establish "reasonable" proof that he feels he plays his best players versus your conjecture.

wart, I want to make sure you understand I'm not talking about you. I'm being general. We hear all the time that Richt doesn't care about winning. I'm simply saying he does-he just dosn't know HOW to win it all.

I agree with all you are saying my man.
