....And so begins the off-season spin....

Wartdawg, we really disagree only on whether it was a success or not, as I completely agree with you regarding TCU and Baylor. Here's the real rub, should the "Play-Off" not expand beyond 4 teams, the SEC had better step up their game! The SECW posted a nocturnal fecal emission for the "Committee" to ponder going forward. Many, MANY pundits are talking about the "downfall" for the SEC this season.....and to be frank, the anti-SEC arguments will get traction if "we" don't silence the contenders.....Otherwise, SEC teams could ultimately find themselves lumped into the same category as TCU and Baylor found themselves this year!

By "we", I mean the SEC, as I suspect the "we" in Butts Mehre are very satisfied with the status-quo!

Buc,...me thinks there will be PLENTY of repetition of the next 9 months...I'm willing to wager that we will ALL see a completely different offensive side of Bobo up in the high country!.....Perhaps this will be a good thing, open more eyes?!?!?....Hard to tell, but ain't much gonna change for us....

On a related note,....who herein is less than enthused with Ramsey? Yah, he got very little PT, but his skill sets have me concerned! I'm hoping that JP is better,...otherwise we'll all be waiting on Eason, unless he changes his mind!

Hope that all will listen to the podcast in the article below. Talk about back tracking and protecting ones seat in Butts-Mehre, wow.

Sooner or later, usually sooner, the Group in Athens gets the cub reporters attention, and let them know that being very careful with articles is a good thing, if one wants to continue to be recognized on campus.

Have not listened to the entire "stuff" being presented will post the site below and return to listen to those that clearly are playing on the edges. Not a good thing.

Edit . . . . Check the comment at the 9:40 mark of the podcast. Was that not brought to the forefront on this board? It was and now we hear it on the tape. Making damn excuses for someone making $500,000 a year, sitting in the "Big Seat" in the Athletic Department. McGarity won't like hearing that comment.

I am much "less than enthused" with Ramsey.

I am willing to give him a chance to get better and change my mind, but he needs to get on the stick pretty quick. What I've seen so far is nothing but a strong arm with no sense of where
to actually put the ball. I got no sense at all that he could read a defense or even know his
own offense that well as he always seemed to lock on to one receiver.

I'm not surprised though.... Richt has great recruiting classes if you look by the stars b ythe name, but there never seems to be a cohesive plan. If he is our QB, he will go into the season with virtually no experience at all after coming from a HS program where he had little experience reading D's.

When you have 2 years of 1, a QB with mediocre talent who got the job based on nothing more than tenure and there being no one else ready... then then 2 next season you go in with unproven
and untested as well.... that is not good planning. I said in another thread that Ramsey is a guy who really needed 2 seasons of getting PT as a backup before he would be ready for the SEC.

Park has some potential and comes in from a program that will have him better prepared. To be honest, I am not even sure I would count Ramsey's tiny bit of actual game experience as a big advantage. The would go into spring on equal footing for me, but I'm not Mark Richt.

I'm still a bit pissed about Bauta seemingly not being given a fair shot. Seems to me like
Richt has gone out of his way to limit his own options.

Did not take long for JJ Green to size up what was "not" going to be a future in Athens. Played with Ramsey, and from where I sit, JJ did more for UGA than Ramsey has, of course, and agree that Ramsey has had some of the same "whispers" in his ear that others have heard before him. Longevity, has led to some at the quarterbacking position that quite frankly should not have been starters.

Make some "bristle" on this board . . . . said one time before, Faton Bauta running Paul Johnson's offense, Tech beats FSU. Damn right I believe that.

Truth be told, 14 years in Athens that has proven little to me other than asking for my patience, it will be better next season. Going into 2015 Season with Ramsey at quarterback, really has me looking for tickets to the Final Four, know you folks believe that.

Reading what the media has to say about Mike Bobo leaving and the consequences of the move. Don't hear any of those reporting and looking at who Bobo took with him. Mike Bobo appointed Will Friend as his offensive coordinator, under our head coach that was at best impossible. Will Friend leaving hurt our program.

This is my sincere wish. I hope that Jeremy Pruitt remains true to himself and those that he has on the defensive side. Not Richt, not McGarity and the rest. Pruitt is a breath of fresh air, and he believes in Sunshine in the room.
