Shannon if you're talking to me, I said he either does it on purpose or his evaluation isn't good. I think it's both, but if you think he's not doing it knowingly that's just as bad IMO. I remember many calling for Stafford, Moreno, and Murray to play. And when he finally had to due to reasons beyond his control, turns out those outside the arena may have known a little something

Agree BulldogShannon.....
Tereshinksi started only because Stafford was a green, raw, wide-eyed true freshman that probably didn't know all the calls, checkoffs, etc etc to run the offense. Not unusual to help a freshman along gradually without throwing him to the wolves and he turns the ball over 5 times and loses games......CMR had no choice but to throw him in when Tereshinski went down.
CMR admitted he was wrong redshirting Moreno.....not because he played seniors. Plus like BulldogShannon said, he may not have the playbook down, pass blocking/blitzes etc etc etc

"I never said he always played the best player. I said he isn't stupid enough to knowingly sit the better player. No coach is going to knowingly play an inferior player. I bash CMR as much as anyone, I wanted him fired 5 years ago.
But it is always easier looking back to see istakes than calling them out in real time. Did anyone call for Moreno to start as a true frosh? yes, we had heard his name. We knew he was going to be good. We have no clue how well he pass protected as a true fresh. of course CMR would say looking back he should have played him.
I agree CMR has bad judgement. Said that years ago. What I won't do is pile on because that is easy to do. No way he intentionally sits the better player.
We have enough crap on CMR without having to blame him for the JFK assassination too"
BulldogShannon quote above.
3rd paragraph, last sentence.....If you were making $3.200,000 a year and was always on the hot seat, would YOU sit your better players????
He may have made a mistake and thought another player was better but intentially sit a better player??? What would you gain from that??
That's ridiculous imo.

We are the only people who think Richt is on a hot seat. I don't think he is at all with
the people that matter... seems quite comfortable in his standing with the University.
What would he gain? Teaching his version of "discipline" maybe?... teaching these kids that loyalty and keeping promises is more important than winning possibly? Ramsey could have been Montana and Mason would have still been our QB this year. I sincerely believe that.
He's the guy that came out and said UGA football was about more important things than just winning football games.
