Comes down to this.
If our head coach stays on the "stubborn path", then he is all about himself.
Believe McGarity has ran the numbers and he understands what Kirby Smart means to UGA football. Greg's stomach does a flip flop everytime he sees an empty seat in Sanford Stadium.
Under the current head coach, there will continue to be a drop off with butts in the seats. So it is either "stubborn" or "selfish" on mark richt's plate. He cares about the program and the University of Georgia or . . . . he is not true to his "words". Perfect time for richt to leave Georgia football and as wlayton said, holds on to his dignity.
grantham and others leaving Athens, not the final answer. Final answer is residing in Tuscaloosa at this point.
I believe if richt gives Kirby Smart his "word" to end his time in Athens as the head coach, Kirby Smart is on board. If richt chooses not to go that route, when he does leave, circumstances will change big time as far as reputation.
Food for thought . . . . can only imagine what "tricks of the trade" that Kirby would bring to Athens from Tuscaloosa. McGarity and head coach need to come to a decision, if they have not already.
