Even though I have my doubts.... serious doubts, about MR being able to make the best decision regarding who to
hire.... my hope is that on the third try he actually makes a good hire even if it is by accident/luck.

Whether or not the head coach chopped grantham's brassies or not. Not allowing him to coach. Found the following to show just what effect grantham's had on the incoming defensive recruits.

grantham works for grantham. EGOTISTICAL. On the decline in the coaching ranks. Petrino will fire his ass in a flash if he puts the same product on the field that he did in Athens.

So what does grantham get . . . . a five year contract for a million per. Follow the damn money, that is where he is at. Worst recruiter in UGA history. McClendon makes what? Folks in Athens would not know a proven product if it was PROVEN.

Wart, I am kind of with you on that thought. I hear a lot about CMR reigning CTG in. He might have not sure. Also, not sure what school wouldn't have. In a coaching position as high as DC at UGA, you can't give a kicker the choke sign, or the Vandy incident. Never seen stuff like this happen under Saban, or Miles. Maybe he needed to be put in check. Plus, if he really wanted a piece of Franklin, he could have. He just wanted to be seen yelling. Never seen anyone who truly was looking for a fight, not be able to find it.

I have no doubt CTG was a big part of the problem. Not saying he is a terrible coach, but he was a terrible fit for UGA. Regardless of the whole taming CTG theory, that still doesn't excuse the busted coverages, or busted assignments. His whole attitude in his media sessions. The constant NFL references, and avoiding the flaws of the defense. Something wasn't right there.

I also agree, that this is only addressing part of the problem. Do whatever it takes to get Kirby, even it that means letting go of the HC.

Also saw where CCW is interviewing for the DL position at bama. Looks like we are going to lose another one.

GO DAWGS, better act fast. NSD right around the corner. A big hire (Kirby) would probably steal some big recruits to Athens.

I also just read that Coach Chris Wilson is in Tuscaloosa today being interviewed for Bama's vacant D-line Coaching position.

Really hope we don't lose Wilson but if Kirby comes home & wants to choose his own D staff, I'd be ok with that...interesting days ahead for sure!
