Because it's UGA. Not making a prediction, but it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Smart turn us down again: Pruitt laugh at leaving his NC caliber program to come play for a team that hopes to at best challenge for one half of a regular season conference crown for they very modest pay raise UGA will offer... Orgeron will be offered the job and turn it down to coach a line at 'Bama and wait for his next HC chance, and then we will hire from within with Wilson or Olividotti and spend the next 3 months crowing about how they were our first choice all along.

Yep seems like a lot of other schools are interviewing and hiring and we're just living in UGA-land, where all is right with the football world. All this is building quite a few years worth of excuses for the "group". New DC, new position coaches, a few recruits lost--all great reminders for the next couple of years when the fraction of the fan base that wants more than 8 wins gets "voice-y" again.
