1. DL coach at Bama Kevin Steele turns down a promotion to be UL's DC
2. Ed Orgeron and UGA's DL coach are interviewing with bama today...
3. SO, this means Kirby is gone, Kevin Steele will be given the DC job at bama, and Ed Orgeron will be the DB coach and Chris Wilson the DL job.

Would take Pruitt in a NY second. Money talks and we all know UGA can pay Pruitt more than FSU.

Sadler, that was kind of my thinking as well. I don't think we had any idea it was coming, and now as usual, late to the party trying to react. I don't think CTG was being held back by CMR, I do think he realized that his gravy train was probably coming to an end. Plus, 175,000 more a year helps when you know you would probably not make it through another year at your current location.

Pruitt would be a great hire. One again though that I just don't see happening. I would say Pruitt is in the same boat as Smart, he isn't leaving unless it is to be a HC.

Going to throw out one name that I saw that interested me. Gene Chizik. He was a great D coordinator before he decided to be a HC.

I know FSU could give him a raise, but FSU is only paying Pruitt $540K per year.....would FSU hit the MILLION department? I don't know. Would we? We had better because even if we don't like it, it is an arms race now. I think $1M / year would at least make Pruitt stop and smell the Hedges. If FSU matched, would we up it to $1.2 or so AND the Assistant Coach title????? Who knows.

I think if it's Chris Wilson, that would happen by tonight since CMR already knows him and we know Wilson would take that promotion. If you wanted Wilson, why would you wait?
