Georgia defensive coordinator Todd Grantham will leave the Bulldogs to take the same position at Louisville, coach Mark Richt confirmed Sunday.

My guess is we return to the 4 man front with Coach Chris Wilson at the helm.

Appears that Thursday meeting between the head coach and McGarity was more than a yearly look at the football team.

One thing for sure, Louisville will score points under Petrino, grantham needs that type offense to cover his lack of coaching folks up.

grantham could not stand the heat, knew that he was not capable of moving our defense forward in 2014.

Where does this leave our head coach?

Will probably see slightly better defensive stats, but overall won't see much change. Just another excuse maker...players getting used to a new coordinator and/or system. Certainly not my football dream come true.

Agree with you sadlerdawg . . . . to a point.

Sometimes within the system they have to get knocked off one at a time. No doubt this was a planned and discussed removal, both Lakatos and grantham. McGarity did not want it to look like a mass exodus.

grantham flat a$$ refused to go out and recruit like McClendon/Bobo/Wilson and others have done for Georgia. Some might think grantham leaving will set us back. Won't get any agreement from me on that.

head coach is here until 2017, unless he falls flat on his face, that would mean another "losing season". Too much talent for that to happen.

I sincerely hope that Coach Chris Wilson is named defensive coordinator. He will recruit, might help keeping some of the talent from crossing the river.

Do know that Will Friend has two very good offensive linemen coming to Athens in 2014, maybe he finds another jewel between now and signature day.

Can't get down at this point, grantham is gone.

Now go pay Michigan State DC what every he wants too come too Georgia and be done with it.

Guess we should get ready to get 'em next year!!
