It has become the culture of college football.
Not going to single out Richt on this one.
Every program, save the service academies, is plagued with dumb thugs.

This is my biggest complaint with college athletics. Lots of the athletes aren't smart enough to be attending the university. Then it takes lots of time and effort to participate in the sport. So a not to smart guy to begin with doesn't have enough time to do the work load.

It would lower the quality of play, but I wish they(not uga everyone) would require athletes have the same academic standards as the rest.

Ya know... I'm glad TG taught us some mental toughness as he was so happy to point out.

I just wish he had taught tackling and who to cover. Might have worked out a little better.
