Not sure they are ready to fire CMR but he may have agreed to get KS and step down when either his contract expires or feels it's time for Kirby to take over the reigns, which ever comes 1st.

That would be huge....HUGE in the recruiting process. KS needs to look no further than what has happened at FSU.

Some of what I am getting is that McGarity and the head coach are going to . . . . or have approached Kirby Smart.

Now we find out what McGarity carries in his sack . . . .

Buc, I'm hoping CMR has been considering retirement in a couple of years and he approached McGarity with the "HC in waiting" idea to present to Kirby.....very possible. He certainly saw how well it worked in Tallahassee with Fisher.

With KS on staff for a couple of years before retirement could help CMR's career end on a good note and go out with a stronger legacy....maybe help get him another SEC title etc.
