Makes absolutely no sense to bring in three or four new coaches to the defensive side of the ball. That would be a downer on the 2014 Season, unless that hire is Kirby Smart. Whether he is the new head coach or the coach after the 2014 Season, the stars would align. Kirby knows a lot of very talented coaches that would jump at the chance to work under Smart in Athens.
Appears from what I can gather, Coach Chris Wilson has been informed he will not be the Defensive Coordinator. Makes sense for him to step up to a "winning program" if Nick Saban so chooses.
Kirby, come on home, timing is right. Believe whole heartedly that you being hired gets us in that final four, or a BCS game. Money should not be an issue with your return to Athens. Would have me back "contributing" again. Wonder how many thousands would do the same.
McGarity, want to be a "hero"? Persuade Kirby to come to Athens. You do understand Mr. Athletic Director that the price for Kirby Smart would force you to release some "serious money". The return on investment is the way a "smart" athletic director would look at such a hiring.
Kirby Smart will accept the head coaching job in Athens. FACT.

Think the DC at Stanford, Derek Mason, would work also.

TN D....have also heard Jeremy Pruitt (but why would he leave FSU?), Glenn Spencer at OK ST, Randy Shannon at ARK, and Clancy Pendergast at USC. (of course Bud Foster but he's not going anywhere)
