It has been known that MR and TG had cooled you might say cold If I was a betting man I say while we may not ever know for sure Me thinks there was some back channel work done helping TG
Find a new home

Makes sense that this was in the works as no DB coach named. Choice to made by a new DC

With you Buc. Happy Happy. Going forward going to be interesting to see who we get to

Direct the "D"

Again as Friday's post. No grape drink no rose colored glasses But.......

Without TG ego and sour puss on the sidelines there is a definite change in the quality of air in Athens

Going to jazz up the board for a while. Go Dawg!!!!!

Go Dawgs!

sadlerdawg, your post #17 is right. You and I both know that our head coach has a "free pass" when it comes to his "spot" in Athens.

Comes down to this. Believing that our voices are heard on the internet.

McGarity knows one thing . . . . all of the coaches can leave as far as he is concerned, but don't come knocking on my door. Athletic Directors have to perform at a very high level, and to this point, McGarity has not. JMO.

Some are talking "hot seat" for the head coach. If he has a losing or sub par season in 2014, then McGarity and the "Group" are on the "hot seat". At that point, I know who the winner(s) are.

Georgia goes 8-5 or something close in 2014, not good.

Our head coach is as has been said before, more than once, a "pushover" for many of the young players than come from a different environment. You, probably more than most here understand that sadlerdawg. Won't go any further with that, except to say this . . . . sitting in living rooms with Mothers are one thing, young men coming to Athens, many forget sitting in the living room in front of Mom. Just saying.

Driving back from the mtns, first thing I read.
Offer Kirby whatever it takes, including the head coaching position when Richt hangs it, hopefully sooner than later.
Maybe Kirby could make Richt go out a winner.

averagedawg, thinking you might have hit on something here. What a great movement of coaches that would be. Crossed fingers. :)

Waiting for the next move. Could be that our head coach has tired of the grind. College football is certainly that at this point.

Seems that many universities are situating themselves for the final four. Lots of changes will be made in college football everywhere.

^^^^^^^^^^^ Exactly averagedawg, I 2nd this! ^^^^^^^^^^^

Buc, I would also be just fine with Coach Wilson as our DC...if we can't get Kirby.

Just so happy Willie #2 is gone! Makes me optimistic for the possibility of seeing a REAL SEC Defense in 2014.

Just make the RIGHT hire please as the last 2 have been very regrettable...

Goose, the situation is right in Athens for the "right decisions" to be made. This is an opening in my mind. Hoping those with the power in Athens think and feel the same way.

If grantham had remained in Athens for another year, I truly believe that our program would have dropped to a level that would have been almost impossible to recover from.

Watching as much video as I can find, the sideline in our games did not come close to what they were a short time back. Talking about the last three years.

Watched the players from my seat in Orlando when we played Nebraska, many on the bench were not interested in the game on the field. My seats were on the 50 yard line directly behind the Georgia bench. That has been a hard sight for me to rid myself of. grantham acted an idiot on the sideline in that game. Confusion was unbelievable on the defensive side. head coach and grantham had a run in during that game.

If those in power cannot understand what is going on, they will soon enough Goose. Folks still love the Univesity of Georgia, seems the tide has began to turn, ever so slightly, but some of the Georgia backers have had enough.

Interesting times ahead Goose. :)
