There is no reason not to look at what Kirby has accomplished under a very accomplished leader.
If our athletic director does not see how much the coming decision makes regarding Georgia football, pretty much answers some of the questions that I have asked about him recently. Some statements made on my part also.
Kirby Smart coming to UGA to be the Defensive Leader, serve under mark richt. Ain't gonna happen. If richt has said to McGarity that he wants to serve out his contract, then again he has walked the same line that Bobby Bowden did.
Kirby Smart has no reason to leave Tuscaloosa, come to Athens to serve "under" a middle of the road head coach. Trying hard not to be ugly, you know me. He can remain in Tuscaloosa and get a head coaching job when he is ready, and continue to serve probably the best head coach in college football at this point.
If a defensive back coach has been hired or, those now in Athens are searching at this point, means that Georgia did not want Kirby Smart that badly. If (they) McGarity and richt are on that course, means getting in touch with Kirby Smart was another "media" show on Georgia's part. Trying to convince folks that they are putting their best foot forward. If that is so, they have pulled another BS media hype thingy.
Really need to keep our eyes on McGarity, he has the President's ear.
Would Alabama match any offer UGA put forward to Kirby, without a doubt. Would Alabama offer Kirby the head coaching job? Easy answer to that one. Kirby Smart does not want to be our defensive coordinator. Don't blame him. He is positioned to lead a major program . . . . maybe the University of Georgia. What say you richt?
It means "Pope Adams" has blessed Richt after Richt kissed his ring.
While I am happy with the hire, some things never change.
Get Adams out of Athens. He's still running things.

Newly hired DC at the University of Georgia makes major improvements on day 1, as when he opens his mouth
something other than guttural feral noises emerge.

Does not change the overall. mark richt just dodged another bullet. McGarity, all about job protection. Current President, a clone of Adams. Adams, POS.
The good old boy membership has shown how powerful they think they are.
Damn, just damn. mark richt bailed out again. 2017, what the hell. Give the grubber a lifetime contract.

Buc, My sentiments exactly.
Got Pruitt at Grantham's salary.
Richt has his cake and eats it too.
Hope I'm wrong but I don't think it changes much of any thing.
Sadler, kent and ogre saw it a long time before I did.
