Buc, A big amen.
The faithful want Kirby and nobody else.
There comes a point when every administration figures out which way the wind blows, especially when it's a full force gale.

Just to toss something out to hear your thoughts. In my "theoretical" world, let's say Smart wants to come. How would you feel if this scenario works out:

1. KS wants $1.75 million per year, 5 year guaranteed.
2. He wants to be named Assistant coach and he is given in writing that IF the UGA job becomes available, he gets the job.
3. He wants to bring his S&C guy.

Now, what if UGA says they can't pay $1.75M and Smart leaves.

How would that make you feel? I know we have the $$ in the coffers and that is what would be frustrating. Someone from ESPN I believe it was said last year we banked $70m profit. I would be infuriated if we have that type of money in the bank but would not let go of another $900k per year.

The upside would be amazing: better recruits from Atlanta, more fan buzz, more butts in the seats=more $$ for UGA.

Thoughts?

I would be completely disgusted.
Me thinks even Richt sees the writing on the wall.

Have to say that the sad day after the Gator Bowl loss don't think anybody here or elsewhere gave any chance to what we are experiencing

Just the serious talk about who and what is something a short time ago we thought would not happen for a while

This has the feel like in baseball where it is a multiple player deal IMO it isn't about money

At the point more about parking spaces. Lol. GO Dawgs

Go Dawgs!

Georgia football is in a state of transition. Many close to the program believe that there has to be a major change for us to get back on the right footing.

Chris Wilson is not clear where he stands at this point. He is not the only one. This is where mark richt has to understand that transition is not one or two coaches coming and going. Requires a total shakeup from "top to bottom".

If Kirby Smart returns to Athens, the only person that is guaranteed a spot is Mike Bobo. Also have been told if that happens, Mike Bobo will become the Assistant Head Coach. That has a lot of meaning, because Kirby would truly turn the entire program around and upside down to look very much like Alabama. Don't think that would disappoint too many.

When Fran and David spoke up, carries a lot of weight.

Can you imagine the excitement in Athens?
Can you imagine the recruiting?
Talk about circling the wagons around the state of Georgia.

Not only does Richt read the writing on the wall, he's got to get his back off of the wall to read it. Things are not nice and toasty like they were at the end of 2012 for him, and he's got no one else to blame. He better hope KS comes to Georgia to save his hide for a couple of years or else the seat isn't so nice and toasty anymore it will be scalding hot. Like others have said, Pruitt maybe, but, KS is the consensus choice of the Dawgs faithful.

The sun shines on a different Dawg every day
