Hahaha Sadler. I am not surprised, and definitely not ready to go that far. But I do think there is a possibility to that we could play a style of defense next year that I am excited about seeing. Not trying to rip HM by any means, but just don't see him leading us to a NC. Do believe we should be in contention in the SEC though.
Call me crazy, but I don't see Pruitt changing. If CMR really does harness coaches, which I truthfully don't believe, I don't think Pruitt will stay around very long. Heard stories about him not bowing down to Saban. Can't see him doing that for CMR. Plus, he was successful under jimbo, and I think CMR and jimbo are very similar.
I just don't believe CMR was good at recognizing what a good defensive coordinator is. He had one in BVG, but not sure who was at fault there. Believe BVG has butted heads everywhere he has went. Martinez, not a DC by any means, and regardless of the relationship CTG and CMR had at a personal level, does not effect the schematics CTG was putting on the field.
Could be wrong. CMR made a good hire. Did he deserve to be the coach next year after the Vandy game? Absolutely not. But that is not changing at this point, so might as well hope maybe someone else can come in and make an impact.
