Questionable Thoughts About 2013, and Beyond

At the very least 2012 offered a chance for UGA to use players destined for play in 2013 and for whatever reason the ones in charge(notice I did'nt say coaches)neglected to do so. I believe we are saddled with lazy, inept men in charge for the most part, from the top down. I swear I thought I caught richt sleeping in the Tennessee game. I realize most of these things were in the links you guys posted, seems like most see the same things. We need to start an email campaign to our illustrous, supposed leaders, and give em down the country about our University to ask the important questions about what they propose to do about it and how soon we can expect positive results.

Chief, they have a plan. Modeled after the VD program. All we need to do is look at the record, speaks for itself. Getting the same worship for our head coach that VD used to get.

My opinion, words that ogredawg used . . . . fast becoming a second rate SEC program. Might go a step further . . . . Big Ten kicked our butt in JAX. Short time back, Michigan State (Big Ten) did the same thing. Current coaching staff, don't want to play UCF again.

What is it that the "hangers on" don't see? Do they see 11 wins this season (2014). See that number eleven(11), step forward after looking at our schedule. You and I need to have a discussion.

Chief, this is the same spit, the only thing that changed was the calendar, moved from 2013 to 2014. Same "Group", same garbage talk. Last BCS Bowl . . . . when?

Buc, thanks for the kind words, as you can tell by the thank yous, I read here pretty much everything posted here. I don't like to repeat what others have said and post from my heart when I do post. I know a lot of us slow down our posting during the off season but be assured I read and process everything that gets posted and follow the links.

I, and others I suspect, get a lot of recruiting info and see things we would not otherwise see from your posts. So while it seems you may be posting to yourself, rest assured you are not.

In this day and time when the word commit means nothing to many of these young men I don't really get excited about recruiting until they sign on the dotted line. Sure would like to see more lineman on the commit list though.

Some are wise and some are otherwise !

Did not take long for the media hype to hit high gear. Reading the link below, is this not the same thing that is being discussed in this thread . . . .

Remember this, the Beat Writers need to "smooze" the leaders in Athens. Has to do with gaining a chance at "copy" for distribution.

Question . . . . Offensive line suit anyone in the 2013 Season? Only replacement that is being mentioned for 2014 that I have faith in, Kublanow. Rest of the offensive line, could not find their way until graduation of the 2013 starters, with the exception of our center.

Folks, we have no offensive line. Theus has already said that he needs to do what? Appears to me that he is still on the right side of the line. Some BS that came out of Athens earlier suggested that Theus would start on the left side. Hutson Mason would be finished after the first two games if that is so. Theus is at best a 3rd, 4th or 5th round draft choice. Pros will eat him alive. Big boy, no talent.

Watts Dantzler, give me a break.

The offensive line has to be "all that", and we are told that our group of running backs and 5th year quarterback will equal or come close to what AM did . . . .

Better hope that the incoming freshmen, and those that have no playing time can spell those that are mentioned in the article.

Not sure we break even next season. Guess we hang on until 2017 . . . . right?

Anyone believe that a "healthy" Gurley can do it himself?

Go get'em coach, all of the above falls in your lap. This is where your "expertise" has landed us . . . . can't hide, 2014 will be here soon enough. Not going to be a pretty picture, not from where I sit. Like it or not, just looking at our team and not drinking the kool aid.

Disney wants offensive football, to do that, have to put a serious offensive line together. Trying to remember the last time I saw a UGA offensive line that came close to resembling other offensive lines in the SEC.

If this upsets anyone on this board, bring me back to reality . . . . last good, not great offensive line at UGA. 2013, good every other week. Get ready Hutson, you are now the leader.

Appreciate the link to the articles, but it's just affirmation for all of us here more-so than eye opening news.

Out of balance recruiting - check
Undersigning vs over-signing - check
Offensive line issues - check
Failure to address special teams issues - check
Todd Grantham and his methodology a joke - check

Maybe all that is news is others are starting to wake up and see it. People here have been all over it for
awhile.

We all know how to fix the special teams.... CCW as DC and retaining his DL responsibilities, that frees up
TG's spot on the staff for a dedicated special teams coordinator. ;)

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Or Kirby Smart as HC/DC....that would free up a spot for special teams also.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!
