I'm afraid this is our football life for the next few years. Pick a 2nd team to pull for and maybe you can get some enjoyment a few weekends each season.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Now the age old often used argument will arise.

If we get rid of Richt, we lose all of these recruits that we get each year. No doubt he is responsible for bringing in talent. That is step one. What happens to that talent after arrival on campus? Mom's don't play football, young men do.

Saban and others seem to do well using a different approach. Know what his approach is . . . . winning.

At some point the cord has to be cut, that is simply how life begins. McGarity, the "noise" will get louder.

Anyone on this thread feel that McGarity also has to step up?

These coaches are not going to resign.

When coming to a conclusion, everything has to be put on the table. That starts with the folks at the top. Richt is not going to hang it up. Grantham, forget that. Where is leadership off the football field? Only way this talk will come to a conclusion is for leadership to pull their heads out of the sand and move forward. If not, this kind of talk will continue for years. Cover that bet also.

Which recruits? The ones that will come here and not win a NC or even an SEC title?

We can accomplish 3rd place the SEC Least with 3-4 star recruits over achieving just as easily as we can with 4 and 5 star recruits who are crapping the bed on Saturday afternoons.

Is Mark Richt the only guy who can recruit?

Build your case to keep MR if that's your thing, but recruiting good enough to be a 2nd tier team even when you're loaded isn't an argument that holds one bit of water.

You can take each NC team over the past 7 years, and our staff could turn them into a
2 or 3 loss team that might be lucky enough to make it to and lose the conference title game at the very best.

Said this earlier.

Seem to hear a lot of get rid of Richt. To do that we need to realize the first step. Scream, holler, get on the floor and kick might get someones attention. Haven't heard McGarity's name mentioned thus far. McGarity is responsible for everything athletic at the University of Georgia.

Want to fire Grantham? Richt can do that, sort of. Fire Richt, Richt ain't gonna do that. Richt also knows that if he resigns, his coaching staff will be replaced immediately upon the arrival of a new Head Coach. Look over the last few years of Richt handling releasing folks that should not have been on the job to start with.

sflanagan21 asked me a question in the game thread. My answer slanagan21 is putting the heat where it will mean something. McGarity.
