Thanks for the reply & I too am sorry if we misunderstood one another. I perceived your response to be a intentional deflection of the intent of my original questions when you referenced Saban being more competent than Richt. Anyways, we agree there & for the record, I'm also fine w/you or anybody else talking smack about our coaching staff when they deserve it because I am not too big on the whole "PC" movement nor am I easily offended. Again, thanks for clarifying your stance on coaching ethics & on your approach when discussing our current coaching staff.

It does get frustrating at times with people outside of this board though. I've heard many the common fan still make the comment "well we dont want a guy like Saban" because of the ethics issues and such, but I and many others feel
there is something in between. As in you don't have to get a guy who is going to be unethical, cheat, or send our kids to eternal damnation in order to just have competent coaching.

You guys are a tough crowd. There are 5 or 6 teams on the schedule that have won NC's since the dawgs. They want to win just as bad as uga. The dawgs are pretty much as succesful as they have ever been, not good enough blah, blah, blah.

I dont care if uga fires MR or keeps him for 25 more years, but goodness gracious folks, this aint southern cal or bama. There are 25 teams that are on your level. Every ten years or so you have enough talent that with a lot of luck you can compete for the NC. That was last year. You were one play away from being the champs but it didnt work out. Now you want to fire the coach.

Im just a casual fan and dont really care if MR remains the coach or not. Just think you guys need to be realistic in your expectations. It can get a lot worse than winning 7 or 8 games a year on average.

There are 25 teams that have the programs to win the NC. A program like uga gets the talent to win it every 10 years or so, just need to have a little luck. Last year was the year they could have won it with a little luck. One year later the coach needs to be fired, blahx3. Look back at the NC team in 1980. Were very lucky to win 3 or 4 of those games. Had better teams the following years, just didnt get the lucky breaks. Asked VD to resign as a result.
