It's not the injuries, it's not the youth, it's not the lack of recruits, we've seen this play out before and heard the same tired talk of arenas. It's the body of work! Some will look at Richt's body of work and remark about his achievements, surpassing the greats before him. I, on the other hand, look at the talent pool that has passed through CMR's program without any crystal to benchmark their time between the hedges, or the abysmal and embarrassing losses against teams we should have dominated. This, IMVHO, speaks much louder on ones success, than does a simple computation of wins and losses!
Been here, done this, got the t-shirt! However, it does appear that the ground swell, like that from a few seasons ago, has begun to shed some much needed light upon those that ardently supported CMR. Nonetheless, it all boils down to what "those" of extremely higher pay grades are willing to accept. CMR is a GREAT man, he WILL be held high among the legends of UGA coaches, this much is fact. Will those with the true power to make change, opt for the unknown, or continue to hope and pay CMR to chance his way to the MNC?...Only time will tell.
Until then,.......................................................

Before you got really fed up with this board, for good reason, you and I had some conversations I felt were meaningful. Not disclosing anything when I say that "I" know you have a very close relationship with both Alabama and Georgia. Would never disclose that. When some were taking pot shots at you, they did not have a clue where you were coming from. Know that is your personality, let fools be fools. Truth.
Dislike Adams more than Grantham. That is a serious statement. Afraid that the Adams selection for the current President and Adams remaining on campus will have a bearing on the direction of our football team. Appears that "politics" has taken a serious hold on our University of Georgia.
What say you McGarity?
Edit: NC Dawg really good post from where I sit. Had not read it prior to posting. Seems again we have some of the same thoughts.

Adams hated Saban, probably part of the reason Richt is still coach.
Kirby and his wife will always be Dawgs, bring 'em home.

Getting rid of Mark Richt would be a disaster. He consistently delivers winning seasons, brings in extremely high level recruits and keeps UGA football on the national stage. He is a man of character and you do not have to worry about his behavior or the actions of the program. Remember, UGA could easily be Tennessee or Arkansas right now. How would you like to have gone through the seasons they have over the last few years? Count your blessings.
We do need a new offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator. But realize this: Bobo is not going anywhere until Richt or McGarity can find him a head coaching job. I predict Grantham will be gone after this season.
Remember, what you as a fan want and what the university wants are two entirely different things, so just sit back and enjoy Georgia football as much as possible.

I don't know but the crack in the dam is alittle bigger with CMR and his staff after Saturdays game. The heads at UGA may be starting to think Richt and his staff are not going to bring the crystal ball to UGA!
Said this a year or so ago but when Richt let/told the whole team to run on the field at the cocktail party the team/players started getting more personal fouls on the field and into trouble more off the field is when he started losing his team(s) discipline.
But I think the heads of UGA wont fire Richt unless they get one of their own, like Smart to come and coach here. If that happens they will try and push Richt out but they wont fire him straight out.
But hell what to I know, I'm just a Dawg fan for life!
