Steve think its the way we lost. Have one of the best qbs in the country and bobo elects to run the ball on 3rd and 5. Regardless of the muffed punt he elected to put the game in our defenses hand, a defense that is not much of a defense btw.

Was just thinking in situations like that late in the 4th with the game on the line would rather us to be down by a little instead of up by a little, would force bobo to be aggressive.

Nothing excuses the play calling in the vandy game. By far the worst coached game this season. One of the worst coached games I have seen actually. Special teams, play calling, just baffles me.


Would like to apologize to to a certain poster on this bored. Orgedawg I know we haven't seen eye to eye on certain things. The coaching staff being one of them. Know that I'm sorry, and you were right About this group of coaches. My eyes were opened Saturday, just like yours have been for awhile.

At this point in my life I have very limited time to be involved with this board let alone read this entire thread. But I did manage to read the last 3 pages of this thread and I think I’m ready to jump off a f’n cliff from all of this talk.

YES, we sucked on Saturday.

YES, we sucked against other teams that we should’ve had nailed by halftime.

YES, we have certain coaches that should’ve been far enough away that it would take a long flight to get to Athens.

YES, we need a ST Coach.

YES, the defense thus far has been non-existent.

But after 7 games, we have lost 6 maybe 7 of the top players on the team. Most of those could/will be playing on Sunday. If there’s any team that could lose that many key players and still compete in any conference let alone the SEC, I have some ocean front property in Arizona that I’ll sell you very cheap.

The thing is we have some young guns playing their heart out and they’re getting playing time today when otherwise, they’d probably not get any for 2 years. They’re going to make mistakes.

This year is a wash. No doubt about it. But this talk about firing the entire coaching staff is a bit too much IMO considering the key injuries we’ve had.

So now, go ahead and start stabbing me from every direction. Believe me, I do not drink the Kool Aide.

Gillette, believe this, during the season I watch the games over and over after they are played and our problems go a lot further than offensive injuries.

As I said yesterday the two targeting penalties were BS but had Drew and Wilson used proper tackling technique ie wrapping up as opposed to delivering the big hit they would not have been called.. Poor Coaching

Poor angles/poor tackling ... poor coaching

Defense looking like a chinese fire drill before most snaps..Poor coaching

Special teams as you mentioned - poor coaching

Ultra conservative play calling- playing not to lose instead of to win ... poor coaching

Undisciplined on and off the field ... poor coaching

Year after year of lacking depth in one or more areas... poor coaching

Rebuilding instead of reloading - poor coaching

Us having these same dang conversations year after year .. poor coaching

I will go as far as to say that is fact not opinion.

I am glad to see most are finally accepting what I have been saying for years. This team has been poorly coached for a very long time. Some years overwhelming talent hides the deficiencies, but without that top talent all we are left with is crap coaching.
