I am done with Richt

Richt constantly wins yes, brings in good recruits yes, but every year and I do mean every year we as a fan base complain about the same things. Losing games we shouldn't lose, defense, special teams, whacky play calling, just constant year after year.

Been on the fence with Richt ever since his first losing season believe it was 2010.

I understand this year he does have a legitimate excuse with the injuries, drop off happened it is obvious. HOWEVER, even with all of our injuries this year the talent gap between georgia and vandy is HUGE. There should be no way in hell we should be discussing a loss to vandy right now or ever for that matter.

Been said numerous time in this thread and I will repeat it again. Once our talent started getting hurt the true problem with UGA revealed its ugly head. Coaching.


And your right what fans want and what the university may want our two different things. However once the ticket sales start decreasing, once attendance starts going down. Once money becomes involves then the university and the fans will be on the same page.


Have a friend that is in college right now at UGA talked to him last night. There are A LOT of unhappy students in Athens.

Gillette, I do agree about the injuries. They have been crippling. I know many say that isn't an excuse, but it is. If the Bronco's lost Peyton to injury, would their offensive production be hurt. Sure it would. A back up QB in the NFL is very talented or they wouldn't be there, but there is still going to be a difference. Its just not as simple as putting another person in that spot when you are on your 3rd running back and 5th wide receiver.

However, there was no excuse for this defense. Not even going to get into the schematics. Saw a lot about passion and playing with heart. I see some doing that, but I also see many waiting around. I don't know if it is motivation, or afraid to make a mistake, whatever the reason, it is not working. Something has to give.

CMR had much more talent than Vandy. I dont feel we had more talent than Missouri after our injuries. He is the special teams coach, and he has failed. This year, he receives an F and well as CTG.

I do not think all heads should be put to the chopping block. Tony Ball has done a great job over his career at WR. John Lilly, very good. Even McClendon has done a good job with the RB. To me, they do not deserve to be looking for a job. Bobo, and Will Friend have done pretty good jobs as well. I keep hearing it as conservative, or playing not to lose. I don't believe that is correct. You have to play the game for what it is. Nobody is going to constantly take shots in our league. You get up a few scores late, you pound the rock, and eat up clock. Bama, lsu, all the dominant teams do this. They just move the chains a few more times. That's football. I believe our play calling is in line, execution, another story at times.

Again, Kirby can come in a keep the defensive guys, and probably add a few. Many of the offensive commits now have serious relationships with their position coaches. You salvage those by keeping those guys, and IMO they are deserving.

Believe I saw earlier where someone said KS would put his touch on the offense. He would let Bobo know what he wanted, and believe the 2 would work well together. Can say this, if you think we call conservatives plays now, I wouldn't watch the games when we hire a defensive coach. Hopefully, then we have a defense to fall back on. Betting KS would.
