Bobo does deserve some credit when Grandpa was wavering and talked to JH-C to go with his heart and where he would be the most happy. I know for a fact that CTG personally recruited this young man and that is why he is a Dawg today. Most of the wavering was done to get some more press. Grandpa actually signed the LOI that afternoon not late that night or the next day.
ogredawg, know that you still have several folks that are assoicated with the high school that you played football for. Thinking that your son does too, can't speak factually to that.
Saw your quote above and it rang a bell in this old head. Remembered an article somewhere that I had read, so spent a little time and did find one of the things that I was looking for. Will find the other two at some point . . .
The below comes from an article printed February 1, 2012, AJC, Chip Towers. Still searching Rivals have not secured that part yet, will continue to look.
Words from Josh Harvey-Clemons lips also:
“I knew when I went there that’s where I wanted to go,” said Harvey-Clemons, who visited UGA on January 13. “It just felt like home and they want to win there.”
Harvey-Clemons said his family liked head coach Mark Richt but that it was his dealings with defensive coordinator Todd Grantham that solidified his decision.
“I would say I had a strong relationship with Coach Grantham,” Harvey-Clemons said. “He’s put a lot of players in the NFL and I wanted to play for him.”
Glad the pipeline appears to be opening ogredawg. I too believe what JHC says
