Coaching, Recruiting Thoughts

Wouldn't say that our talent outclassed the teams we lost too. Maybe BSU and MSU. Not going to say our talent is better than lsu's, or usc's. Lattimore would have been a heisman finalist if not for injury. Now we might have some that may end up better than what usc had,but our talent was not as experienced as usc's.

You want to continue to hang onto that MSU game, go ahead. He should have done it differently, I agree. Walsh should have also made the kick.

Guessing you never give credit to the other team that beats you.

I sat in section 108, row 45, watching the 2009 Kentucky game, surrounded by drunken Kentucky fans, rubbing it in my face.
I listened to Coach Richt's postgame comments, telling the Georgia faithful how uninformed we were.
Rich Brooks would have died to have the talent we had that year or any year.
I sat in a normally rowdy Georgia section, deserted by Georgia fans, listening to the Big Blue screaming "Willie."
I have been back to Athens many times since and believe me, Sanford ain't what it used to be.

AllDawgs5 not sure we are on the same page. For example that was pointed at the top rung of the ladder, President Adams and head coach Mark Richt who runs our football program, I think.

If that is what I read correctly in your post, blaming Richt and Adams is exactly what I said. Nothing there about 18-22 year olds. Not sure where that is coming from but understandable, folks do have different thought patterns.

There was a time when you could not find standing room under Richt's watch, and with the improvement last season, the ten wins, there were empty seats. Maybe that had to do with the economy, but it sure did not take Adams long to ask the students and others to come back. President Adams making that request said volumes to me.

I want to see Sanford Stadium rocking, filled to the brim, so in my thought pattern, something is wrong. Makes sense that folks back winners, coming off of a 6-7 season, better have a winning season or we would not be having this discussion right now.

Speaking to the truth, I don't want young men that slap their mates, don't give a damn what their age is. It bothers me when I have the top running back in the country doping. Many say all schools have this problem, that is not my problem, my sites are set on the University of Georgia and to this day still have problems when we lose 3 more students because of stealing from a football classmate. Hear me again, I don't care about the rest of the colleges and their problems, UGA is my concern.

I have never used my faith as a crutch, I have seen those that do, more times than I would like to mention. I don't believe that Mark Richt is false, I just cannot understand how so many can hang with Mark Richt as a football coach in a superior conference that is not showing the improvement that a school for the past many years has been in the top ten in ratings.

Not wrong to agree to disagree. Just really like to be on point when statements are made or suggested.

Why should Walsh have made the kick? I mean I understand he "should" have, but what indication
had he given anyone that he would? He stunk from outside of the 40 all season, and we expected that to miraculously change with nothing to indicate it would.

It's not just hanging on the MSU game either. It's hanging on Central Fla from last season.
It's hanging on pretty much all of that season. It's hanging on JTIII. It's hanging on
not having a decent O-line for 3+ years. It's about putting more players in the NFL than
just about anyone else in college football over the past 5 years, while barely hanging on
to a top 25 type record during that time span. It's hanging on a lot of things outside
of just that MSU game, although that MSU game did point out exactly what my problem with
CMR happens to be...

I have watched Richt for a long time now, and I'm sorry to my fellow UGA fans who disagree with me. I respect your opinions, and I certainly respect anyone's rights to disagree with me, but I have just witnessed enough to be pretty solidly entrenched about my opinion. I like CMR as a man off the football field, but I don't like his demeanor on the field as
my football coach. I don't like some things about how he structures his teams, and I certainly don't like what I view as his constant ability to under achieve. I think we've
had the talent to do better. That's just how I feel.

When we line up on the field though... I'll be right there cheering with you.

See, I disagree. We have lost some games to lesser talented teams. Every coach has. How in the heck did Saban lose to Utah? Many of CMR's losses were to teams with more talent. If you think UGA had more talent than those UF teams, go look at the recruiting rankings. Also go look at players drafted. He has lost some to teams with less talen, sure, but I can't think of a head coach in college football that hasn't.

The 3 previous years when Walsh was money from anywhere in 50yards would probably explain. The fact he was a 2 time all american. I don't know maybe those are some facts for why CMR played those chances. You have to think at some point he is going to return to former status.

Buc, I understand UGA is your concern, but to think problems are not going to happen at UGA are unrealistic. They happen everywhere. That is never going to change. Never has. I've heard so many stories about what used to go on. Only difference is, now police departments make it public, instead of just making sure the problem is resolved without making it to the press.

Have never heard CMR use his religion as a crutch. That crutch was created as justification from fans as to why he wasn't fired.

You want to blame CMR and Adams fine, but don't punish the kids on the field by not coming. You want to talk about putting a university into the point of no return, have people quit coming.

Average, I would have stood right beside in that UK game if I could have afforded too. And no matter what CMR or anyone else said after the game, I would have been standing there the very next time my DAWGS took the field.
