Thank you averagedawg and your honesty. Also a big shout to your partner and her efforts helping the military at the VA in Nashville. Some talk a big game, others participate in real life things. You and your wife are special people. Those of us that have served salute your wife and those that she helps most days of her life. To go along with that, two great UGA folks, with a Dawg to prove it. :)

Go Dawgs . . . recruit more and coach'em up!! :)

Statement from Urban Meyer and recruiting in Georgia. Both Meyer and Saban like taking these players away from UGA. Just business as usual, appears to be that way recently.

Meyer has assigned one of assistants, former North Carolina interim coach Everett Withers, to recruit the state of Georgia for Ohio State.

“Well there has to be a reason for Ohio State to go down there and recruit against Georgia and Georgia Tech,” Meyer said. “There has to be some type of tie. It may be a certain kind of quarterback that fits our system, or maybe it’s a Percy Harvin-type of player that wants to be in our offense. Or you could have a prospect related to someone who went to Ohio State, or you may have a kid who wants to play in front of a stadium of 105,000 people. There would have to be a reason. Coach Withers knows Georgia well and will be spending a lot of time down there. To say we’re going to saturate Georgia with our recruiting efforts, we’re not. We’re going to ‘cherry pick’ and go after the best players. If someone in Georgia is interested in Ohio State, we’ll go after him.”

Two coaches that have recently won National Championships. They move forward, don't make excuses for their recruiting methods. Guess we need to tighten up or maybe win some championships.

When Meyer says specifically that there might be a Percy Harvin type of player that he is or could be looking for, make book he already has his eyes on a specific target.

AllDawgs5, I think most and I know me for sure see no improvement as a quality team. If you look back and just think about things, we have not beaten a top 15 team since 2007. We have barley beaten the middle of the road teams. We still run the same old offense with the same old predictable plays. I don't think USC had better players than us 3 years ago they beat us with a freshman ML. I guess they had better talent than us last year, but look at Vandy, had to have a defensive stand the last few minutes. I know we have far better talent that Vandy. It just seems CMR only worries about recruting QB's and RB's. why would you leave 5 or 6 scholrships unused and not recruit OL. Did you see is statement when asked by the news media about recruting OL, he said he is happen with what he has at UGA.

With the OL problems we have had over the past 3 years, how could a coach say the he is happen with what we have on hand. Other than us winning 10 games against teams with barely a winning record, what kind of improvement did our football team make this year. Still can notblock, special teams were terrible, defense folded at times, ect.

I for one an not a fan of CMR, have not been since 2008, things to me have gone down hill, and our program will never suceed beyond the 9 or 10 wins and no SEC title. With CMR, we will not be able to compete with ALA or LSU for the SEC title, I don't care if we have 22 5 star recruts, for players on play as good as they are coached. As some one said, we put more players in the NFL that anyone, but what do we have to show for it. To me we have a lack of teaching and coaching the players to be winners.

Richt was coaching for his job last year we only had 10 win's so I afraid with a new contract back to 6 to 8 win season then we can try CTG as head coach and get a proven OC worked good for Patriot's.

How Bout them Dawgs!!!!!!!

Georgia according to Rivals has the #1 and #2 top HS prospects in the Country.

#1 Robert Nkemdiche DE Loganville/Grayson Uncomitted (said to be secret commit to Alabama, wears Tide gear to school)

#2 Reuben Foster LB Lagrange/Troup Committed to Alabama

So Saban not only has the top 2 in the state but in the country committed already. What is wrong with this picture?
