averagedawg, I read the post below and could not believe what these eyes were looking at. The portion in bold. Especially the lack of abundance of pressure being put on Mark Richt to get rid of Willie Martinez. Sometimes chatter us just that, chatter.


Wart, I agree, Willie's D was shredded all to often. However, I keep seeing where people say CMR didn't want to run Willie off. CMR fired Willie under Damon Evans. I don't think there was an abundance of pressure like many want to claim. I just don't think CMR is nearly as dumb as many on this board want to claim him to be.

Buc, would love to know how that is chatter. CMR didn't fire CWM because what was on a message board, or because of what fans said. Damon Evans was never going to fire CMR over Willie, or he would have already done it. No chatter, those are facts. CMR would have still be coaching with CWM as his DC if he wanted to.

Average, I remember that game all to well. Worked a week of overtime, purchased 2 tickets for 150 bucks a piece, and that is what I got to see. Was a very, very bad day.

You have to be the most knowledgeable UGA poster that I have run across in a long time. You are amazing with factual talk that has no fact.

You had regular sit downs with Damon Evans. You read every post that is out there, plus every media outlet that roared about Richt/Martinez. Being retired I do a lot of that. When I was gainfully employed could not.

How many sit downs with Evans did you have?

And are we talking about the same media outlets that have been claiming CMR did one heckuva job this year. Seen that all over ESPN and other places, but I guess they are discounted since that are actually giving CMR credit correct?

I have never spoken for Damon Evans or any other coach, guess that comes with graduate school.
