AD5, Still go to the games.
Always will.
I quit going to the games at Vandy after watching the "dores beat us at their homecoming, 1991, superstitious I guess.
I took a lot of crap from Tn fans, when they owned us.
I will always support our kids. Win or lose.

AllDawgs5, you are beginning to get my attention. You are not saying that I said Richt used religion as a crutch, I hope not. That was not said.

Have never heard CMR use his religion as a crutch. That crutch was created as justification from fans as to why he wasn't fired.

You want to blame CMR and Adams fine, but don't punish the kids on the field by not coming. You want to talk about putting a university into the point of no return, have people quit coming.

Yes, you did get my attention. Have heard you say several times that you would be at every game if you had the where with all. That is admirable and a true fan. Work long and hard enough and those wishes can come true.

Never thought I would say this, but have to because you are playing on the edge and that is not acceptable. My wife, family and I have probably put more money in the University of Georgia than many. Friends with the Hartman's, believe in the cause, and if you know anything past the football field you might understand. Hartman family has a place just across the water from me. That is not blowing my horn, it is trying in my way to get you to understand that you don't know everything.

My family and I and our contributions help fund the scholarship needs of many student-athletes, wonderful facilities and support for the other athletic programs in Athens. Every sport that is played by the 18-22 years olds in Athens. And we do not discriminate, by that I mean religion or anything else could be discussed.

You need to get a better understanding involving how things work and why they work.

As a "true" supporter of our football team and the young men that play the game, I take offense with your characterizations. Mark Richt was out until he, listen to this, and those above him put pressure on Mark to end friendships and hire competent people. Do you remember Willie Martinez departing with his lips poked out. He is one of the people that would not accept his circumstance. Mark Richt had many in higher places that wanted him elsewhere.

Remember this, there are a lot of things that you have neither heard or witnessed.

Buc, not trying to play on any edge. Simply stating that if I could attend every UGA football game, I would. I don't donate to scholarship funds, simply because the money I could donate wouldn't make a dent. That does not make my knowing of what goes on any greater or lessen it more. I understand the boosters roles in college athletics. But I don't agree with some of their doings. Either you do this, or do that, or my money is gone. I don't agree with that. Not in the ultimatum business.

Regardless of who knows what, or whatever maybe the case, I am not understanding how that makes a difference in the topic.

True fans will be true fans regardless. Couldn't stand anything more than those people who loved me when we were winning, and couldn't be found when we weren't. Hated that. Definitely not saying that you aren't a true fan Buc. I know you are as much a true fan as any DAWG. That is fact. Please don't think I am questioning your loyalty. I question the loyalty of the ones who do quit showing up.

Just don't agree with that idealogy of: we will make our point by not showing up, or really, not showing support. Believe my Grandfather called them Good time Charlie's.

I will continue to work hard for my season tickets. One day maybe, but have other obligations that I love more than UGA football. Not many though.

GO DAWGS

So I was just reading about Saban going after our QB Ramsey.

Seeing as that it's a compelling argument to say "hey come to the national championship
program, and by the way.. we haven't recruited so many QB's we wont know what to do with
them all"... What do you think his chances of prying him away from us will be?

God Bless and Go Dawgs

From where I sit Wartdawg, there will be a contest. The "Big Bopper" is in the game now. Saban does not move without cause. Shot fired over the bow, seems to get folks attention. Got mine.

This young man has said that he wants to be a part of the Red and Black. I believe that. He has also been reported to say he is trying his best to move some young men our way. That is how it works when guys are young, they want to lead. AM did the same thing with our football team from the beginning, he did however stay with the program and seems to be ok.

Brice Ramsey no doubt has the mental and physical part to play the position.

Question was one of percentages . . . . Right now I think he is 100% or 95% headed to our campus. As you mention, championships and Alabama seem to go together. I will say this, if Brice Ramsey watches this years games and why would he not, gets to check UGA's offensive line and efforts as opposed to Alabama and the same efforts could have some bearing.

Think that this recruit is in the hands of Mark Richt, not Mike Bobo. It will be Mark Richt and Nick Saban, head to head. Would be a huge win for the Red and Black, much like what happened in the recruiting for Malcolm Mitchell when we got a player that Kirby Smart wanted real bad.

Wartdawg, time to build higher fences and . . . . win big time games. Think we are on the same page with that comment.

One more comment, if I had the choice of this quarterback and a couple of offensive and defensive linemen that I am aware of, think most on this board know what my choice would be. Starts with the hands in the dirt. Saban knows that and he has the folks that many schools wished were on their campus.
