I wasn't saying you were twisting anything.

I know I quoted your comment on Samuel when I started my post, but the twisting part did not refer to you.

I was referring to those that want to defend Richt by talking about our O-line and young
players. To those people I would say that the players available to us are the responsibility
of the coaches as well. Specifically the O-line where we've seemingly been thin for forever.

Just to clarify that.. the twisting it part was not in reference to you.

AD5 - I respect the opinion of all Dawg fans.. and you've made some good points. I just think
there are some defending Richt by listing a lot of excuses. Excuses that are often dropped
right back in the lap of either him or Bobo in terms of responsibility.

WD....no worries, I know you weren't talking to me......and yes, ultimately the recruiting classes are the responsibility of the coaching staff and CMR. It is unbelievable how many recruits in the last 3 years aren't there anymore.....I believe we are seeing the negative effects of that, especially in the OL, WR and RB's.

I am only defending the play calling because to be honest, I don't think it has been totally terrible. Sadly, probably bobo's best year in my opinion. Seen a lot of balls hit WR's in the hands and not be completed.

Agree AD5 and I made a post last week about being limited in what the OC can EVEN call with that OL. I personally think it is impossible to use the whole playbook with the OL we have right now. Sad but true. Does AM have enough time to go deep?...NO, geez he's getting blasted on the short routes. Can we run consistently off tackle?...NO, maybe the 1st 20 minutes of the game. Can we even try a freakin reverse?....Heck NO, there's too much penetration etc......you get the picture. Even Bozo's crayola playbook is limited with this mediocre OL.

AD5, you think this is Bozo's best year playcalling, and I respect that as your opinion. I disagree, but we know where we both stand on that. Just do me a favor, if you please. I know you understand the game. So, for me, as you watch the UT game, sit there and HONESTLY try to figure out what play is coming next on O. I will bet you will be right 85-90% of the time, and as I've said before, if those of us considered "not in the know" by certain folks can figure out what's coming, how about the other team's coaches?

My point about Bozo is that he is much too predictable, and always has been, and if you try my experiment, report back to me Sunday morn--I'd be curious what you come up with.

And I'm always willing to give Bozo the kudos if he steps out of his box and mixes it up...hell, I might even call him Bobo, or even "coach"...but I haven't had to yet.

Play calling has been better since the Boise game AD5..

Hope it continues to be better. It's going to have to continue to be better against
the Vols and Gators.

We all know winning and losing isn't just one thing.. we're gonna need the players
to step up their individual performances, the right personnel has to be on the field
at the right time, and the play calling is going to have to be good.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Hey sadlerdawg, with our lousy OL your odd's have gone way up in guessing the play because you can only run 4 plays that our OL can block.......and that's 1/2 of Bozo's crayola playbook.

wlayton, I agree about the line limiting the playcalling, but not to the point of being entirely predictable. There was a discussion on another thread, and I, and others, was pointing out that every top offense doesn't have all-American lines. They just play to their strengths. Swing passes, WR screens, pitch outs, roll-outs, misdirections, use the fullback, use TE's to block, etc. There are literally dozens of plays that can be successful with a sub-par line and the talent we have.
Bozo just needs to buy another box of crayons and another coloring book and draw up some more creative plays.
