I was kind of thinking like you were, wart. We have Wooten, Troupe, King and Brown at WR (all Jr and Sr, not young), Samuel, Thomas, Malcome at back (not just a freshman), the popular all-SEC choice at QB, the two best TE's in the league, if not the country, a huge FB (why is he never used on these 3rd and inches?????) and a huge line that for whatever reason has underperformed the last 4 years......

so yeah, with even halfway decent coaching, I was expecting a 60 minute juggernaut offense.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

That is why I haven't been to hard on AM, he is still a young qb. Life was easier for him last year. When you have one of the best WR's to ever play college football, that helps. Heard, last year bama struggled on D because of the talent they lost. Look at what UGA's offense has lost, either to the NFL, or because guys didn't want to hang around.

I guess my question is, did people really expect our offense, with a young qb, a freshman RB, a relatively inexperienced O-L that is very thin not to mention they are breaking in a new O-L coach, and a young inexperienced WR corp, to be an absolute jugernaut? Even with the loses, we are still averaging around 30pts a game in SEC play.

3 costly turnovers. 3 plays.

OL inexperienced I beg to differ....thin yes no depth yes....inexperienced WR corps MM is the only new one you have several who have been around for a while....TE can also go wide and in the "slot" so with this offense the least I expect is it to play 4 qtrs. of football.....30 points a game not over the last 2 games we have not and 59 were scored against CC so the 30 pts a game is a padded stat...take away the 59 against CC and see what kinda of average you get....if the O gives me 4 good qtrs of football then I will shut up.......until then the O sucks......

Wooten, hurt and really not done much after freshman year game experience-low. Troupe, not been very productive was not counting on him. Brown, hurt, and really has done nothing to make me think he was going to be a stud besides what he did in the high school ranks in Tenn. Don't want to hear it is coaching. How were Durham, Green, and many others successful under Ball. Mitchell seems to have no trouble performing. I am guessing if you thought Samuel, or Thomas were SEC feature backs, well I don't really know how to comment on that. Malcome appears to not be what we thought he was. Believe a lot of it is mental. The other 3 are doing what they need to in practice to get touches. I agree about the 3rd and inches using the FB although I would probably use little Tree. Big O-Line means nothing to me. TE's have been used. I have no problem with how the coaches have used the TE's.

AM is a little bit of mystery to me. He is having some troubles. A lot have to do with protection. Maybe some have to do with the losses of Green and Durham. I would trade those 2 for all the receivers you have mentioned above. Stats wise I would have agreed about Murray. He does not seem to be a great game manager at this point in his career. I believe he will get it. I really hope because I like how the kid plays the game minus the turnovers.
