When I think cerebral wlayton, "Bucky" comes to mind.
Wow.. I think of the word cerebral whenever I hear the name Bucky.
Unfortunately the word cerebral is always accompanied by the word hemorrhage.

As for Richt, I do think he's a great coach, but I also feel like he's hit a point of no return. Granted, he did bring us back to a level of success we hadn't seen in some time, BUT he also did it early in his career when he still had the remnants of old/past coaching staffs and recruiting classes. Unfortunately, since he got to the point where the program was "100% his" it's been a fairly consistent downward spiral.

Mike Honcho, This was one of the most well written posts I've seen on here & as you know, we got some DGD in here posting every day. Think you summed it up quite well. Most (maybe over 99% at this point) Dawg fans are sick of Bobo as our OC. Richt definitely brought our beloved Dawgs back to prominence but our rise was started with a prior coaching staff & the prior staff's recruits. But what really hit me like a ton of bricks was your last sentence...that is a sad but entirely TRUE statement & that causes me to pause before considering the million dollar question which you wrote in the form of a statement, "is Richt past the point of no return"? That is the question I keep asking myself & I am struggling to answer it. Like everybody else in here, I just want what's best for the team & the university that we love!

He was a great hitter....fearless. As far as him being a coach, cerebrial description doesn't rush to my mind.

Hmmmmmm, you fellas have unlocked a new theory in my tiny brain. Perhaps we have been guilty of "over-coaching" our defense these past 5+ years. Maybe all we need is for TD to come back to Athens for a quick coaching clinic that goes something like this:
See that guy dressed in something other than Red & Black running with the football. He just said some really nasty things about your Momma. Now, run as fast as you can towards him, hurl all of your weight at him while looking directly at the target with your arms outstretched & make him regret the day he was born!!!
It will be very simple to know if you passed my course. If the guy runs back to the huddle, you failed. If the guy crawls, limps, or is carried back to the sideline, you have passed w/flying colors. Any questions? GOOD, TD ain't got no time for stupid questions! Now go make every team in the nation know that playing against the Georgia Bulldogs takes more cojones than walking blindfolded & naked through a briar patch!
