Rebuilding UGA Football

Good find, Buc. I agree with CTG. I have seen a defense that is flying to the football. However, I think he should have a little more urgency when discussing pressure. Personally, I would like to see more pressure. IMO, we should have been bringing the house against Moore in week 1. Now, against Garcia, I liked what we did. The guy can make plays with his feet, and usually is better scrambling than sitting in the pocket. Get a good push, stay in your lane, and make him sit in and deliver the football. He wasn't very successful in doing that. No problem with that. Moore on the other hand. Loves sitting in there, and will do so as long as you will let him, and will pick any defense a part with enough time.

I believe they have improved, but the one thing I really want to see, is the stop in a crucial part of the game. Go back to msu last year. We know they are going to pound the ball. We have to be able to get off the field. Usc this year. No question who was getting the ball. Again, we have to find a way to get the ball back. Personally, I have seen it mentioned on here many times about having Geathers and Jenkins in the game together. Great point, especially in situations where you have to sell out to stop the run. I would like to see us have a BIG package for situations like these.

I didn't see the game last week. Pounding cc means absolutely nothing to me. However, I do think with the youth we have, we needed a taste of success early. We didn't get it the 1st game, and lost a heartbreaker the 2nd week. Hard to win when it seems everything is going against you. I am very interested to see how the year plays out. I will give Richt some credit if he finds a way to make a run and win 9 or 10 games.

GO DAWGS. Buc, you are dead on about Ole miss. We are going to get their best, so we better be prepared.

Pressure is nice, but come on...

You pressure a guy and he throws an incomplete pass. It's now 3rd and 8.

Sack him and it's 3rd and 18.

Big difference.

Don't get me wrong... I think the defense is on the rise, but I'm tired of talking about
"pressure" in games that we lost.

I would much rather be talking about "sacks" in a game we won.

I like the BIG package idea, Alldawgs...I watched the game last week just because I wanted to witness us actually win a game.

That being said, I've noticed a fairly significant difference in the way the offense was ran from Boise to SC and CC...I'd love to know if Richt actually has stepped back into the playcalling/gameplanning more since game 1?

MH.....either CMR took back some of the play calling or Bobo Gotta Go Go flipped a coin every play and got lucky......that's the only explanation I can think of..... ;)

Whatever happened.. our ability to move the ball on SC while using a more traditional
set and game plan just helps to prove how terrible our game plan was against Boise.

Y'all remember that one don't ya? The one we spent 8 months coming up with... the game
in which we know Bobo was calling the plays.

This might be the perfect spot in our schedule to have a "real" road game. Some of these young pups now have some playing time under their belts. Crowd noise could be a factor, that is where I hope that AM and the gang on offense remain on the same page. No doubt there will be audibiles, at least early in the game. Away games sometimes allow a young team of Pups to "grow" into Dawgs a bit quicker. Think also that UGA is something like 1-7 in our last 8 road games. Pretty close to that. Think that Vandy was the 1.

Nutt is definitely facing some serious fan base hostilities. Got nothing to lose, will throw the kitchen sink at us. Good offensive coordinator should eat that type of play and attitude up, especailly when the offensive side has as many playmakers as we have. Good post AllDawgs5.
