To summarize, basically win or else.
Regardless of what Adams or Dooley have to say, I don't see the Georgia base putting up with much more losing.
averagedawg, the time has come when coaches either win, lose close games because of some simple thing that happens on the field, but are always in the game. Much has changed not only in the past 40 or 50 years, football has changed an enormous amount in the last 5 to 10 years.
Gone are the days when a coach or coaches could pretty much shrug their shoulders and tell the folks that support the cause that things will get better. Better is not like it was some years back . . . . Better is right now.
So much is placed at the players feet, some of it belongs there. Too much gets passed off to the players when in truth it is the coaches that are totally at fault, or as the article above mentions, the administrations fault.
Notice that Adams is out with his hat in his hand, asking the UGA students to fill their seats. I can remember and it was not that long ago the kids at UGA looked forward to UGA football between the Hedges. Sorry, don't get that feeling . . . . at this point. The administration knows this now and all of the talk in the media and among bloggers like us have a way of getting "snooties" attention. Snooty is Adams and some of his hires.
Been said on this site more than once . . . . keep an eye on the empty seats, sure sign of dollars lost.
I have yet to have this question answered to my satisfaction and you have asked this question averagedawg more than once. What happened to UGA Football and why? I have heard all of the supposed know-it-alls say that it is cyclical. That answer and a dime once upon a time would buy you a cup of coffee.
Personally, see what I think are some positive things happening in Athens, also see some things that should have been changed many years back. Maybe we need to dial "Bucky" up, he has an answer for everything, a cure for NOTHING.
