Thanks Buc - guess we'll get a few more if any go pro and the "however" will give us a few so that we have enough to compete the "dream team"
Save some so ga caviar for later - think I have enough to last a while - think all our friends that came up to leaf look brought us some
COUNTING SCHOLARSHIPS: Currently, there are 82 scholarship players on the roster, which is three under the NCAA limit of 85, but two of those (see ^ above), will not be a consideration as far as counting the number of scholarships available for the Class of 2011. Those three unused scholarships, along with the 14 freed up by departing seniors and two players forgoeing their senior seasons, leaves UGA with 19 scholarships for the Class of 2011.
However, as is the case every year, there will be more scholarships freed up due to players with remaining eligibility leaving the team for a variety of reasons. Under NCAA rules, college can sign a maximum 28 prospective student athletes (prospects) per signing period (first Wednesday in Feb through April 14) but add only 25 initial counters as scholarship players per year. All scholarships are awarded on a one year basis. The coaching staff must submit a roster of all returning scholarship players to the SEC by July 1st of every year
