So what exactly has Mark Richt proven that he would be undefeated this year or with only one loss?
Last time I checked Richt routinely got out coached, lost to both ranked teams and teams that had no business beating us, had lesser teams hang around, got blown out by good teams.
You are comparing a coach that was here 15 years to a coach that hasn't even been here for one year.
Seems like Miami inherited the classic special teams, just saying.
Your entitled to your opinion of course, but i wonder if you were this pissed off when ole saint Richt went 8-4 his first year.
Donnan won 9 games the year before if memory serves correctly, so wouldn't that be a regression?

Now like I said I was all in on Smart. Now not so much. Limey hits the nail on the head. UGA should not ever be a playground or learning center for a HC. Case in point is UF, coached by another Saban disciple who is actually winning out of the gate first season and beyond. A coach that had experience when he came on board there. OJT done out west and made CSU a winner, then moved on to be a winner at UF. Pretty nice formula if you ask me.
Great discussion going on here.....

Agree totally and that's why I stray away from making those type of predictions.
What I can accurately state regarding that is that if he was still the head coach, we'd be no closer to winning a national championship than we were the previous year. And if 7-5 gets you to the same place 10-2 does, then I'll take something different.

Copied from the article by Loran Smith above.
Has often been discussed on Dawgs.com what was said above, underscored.
Mark Richt could never get the total package together (14/15 years) on both sides of the ball. That will change, bet that. Check out the commits thus far, our coaches are building both sides of the ball. Playing for the future, yep I think so. The conversation even a year from now will change considerably. Change because of the direction the coaches did on the recruiting trail in 2016 and preparing for 2017.
Suits you, take a look . . . .
