Have to say this . . . much of the "supposed" fan base of the Red and Black is so full of spit.

In Athens, often referred to as the Classic City, there is football talent galore. Amazes me that the "simple simons" do not understand that there is a huge difference in High School BMOC, and the SEC.

Will keep reading and shaking my head. I understand that many don't "understand".

Kirby Smart will "mold" what he has. What does Kirby Smart have on both sides of the ball, offensive and defensive . . . . a LOT.

Realize many don't like reading what I post, but it will not change. Been around for a few years and I firmly believe that the "Group" was finally made to understand that there are sites like Dawgs.com that "truly understand" . . . . and will hold "their" feet to the fire. Play time is over, time now to understand that the name of Kirby Smart is not the answer. The answer is that Kirby Smart was "groomed" to do what he is going to do in Athens, the Classic City.

i cant help but compare what kirby looks like right now to what richt looked like 15 years ago. Both long time loyal assistants at successful universities. FSU had a heck of a run while richt was there. Not saying it was all his doing, but he had a nice resume.

Look at FSU's record during this time. They finished in the top five every year richt was the oc. They didnt win as many nc's as bama, but basically the same monster.

Both of them had the stuff going for them at 40.

Also look at what happened to FSU after he left. I'm predicting bama will decline with kirby leaving. Maybe their new dc will fill the shoes, but i dont see it happening. Will saban hang on to long? I dont think so.

Believe that Mel Tucker is going to be a huge asset for the Kirby Smart way of playing defense.
