All the talk is it's Mason's offense, QB coronation.............
Common refrain, there will be no competition for QB.
Joe Cox 2.0
Will Mason be able to get the ball "down field" to Mitchell? I hope so, not sure I see the proper release with enough "long ball". Hope I am wrong.
Know this, AM is gone, and Malcolm Mitchell is a "high strung" footbal player. Just saying.

Here's why....FSU was simply loaded on D.
In 2012 under Stoops....FSU ranked 2nd in the country in total D giving up 253.8 yards/game and 3.85 yards per play
In 2013 under Pruitt, FSU was ranked 3rd in the country in total D giving up 281.4 yards/game and 4.09 yards per play.
Imo....FSU was simply LOADED on D in both 2012 and 2013.... better stats before Pruitt got there.
Granted those are outstanding numbers and am confident he is an excellent hire but I'm not crowning him anything just yet.

Question.
Do you know the number of interceptions that were achieved between the two coaches regarding their defenses?

Great point Buc and shows why we should be glad Pruitt is coaching the secondary.
2012 under Stoops.....11 interceptions
2013 under Pruitt.....26 interceptions
You have GOT to LOVE those numbers......no wonder he's coaching the DB's. :woohoo: :woohoo:

"Teacher's pet," remember those we used to punish at recess.
Richt promises some kids things before they have proven they are worth what they are promised.

Thank you my Brother.
Was not making a cutesy question. wlayton, have looked over much that has been accomplished under Pruitt in his short career as a college coach. I hope he keeps it screwed on, scares me a bit, his comet is rising fast.
The numbers that you posted above prove to me that these young pups in Athens better come to learn. Pruitt means what he has said. Every man for himself, until we hit the football field and play the SEC schedule, then it is team play.
Many of us know why he took over the defensive backfield. That was the missing link. In Louisville this season, they will suffer through some of the same.
If the NCAA allows the new rules to be adopted, just going to put another feather in Pruitt's headgear. He truly understands that quarterback sacks are a result of shutting down receivers. We have a coach in Athens that understands. Hope that many that sit on the fence understand that all of the talk here is for the betterment of UGA football. Just chopping wood.
