Going to post a link below from Bill King. Read gets real interesting to me when I got further into what Bill had to say. So much logic coming from a man that cares so much about Georgia and Georgia football.
I come away with several thoughts, one of which is this . . . . mark richt is stubborn and foolish to a fauilt. Refuses to admit his faults until he is taken to task. That in my opinion is not coaching, especially evading head coaching responsibilities. Appears from reading Bill's article that richt was forced into making a decision.
Has been openly discussed on this board, and maybe some start to believe that what is posted here is read by those further up the line. mcgarity saw a need to correct some Special Team due diligence by whispering in richt's ear that those outside the arena are pissed.
Rather than name a single person as Special Teams coach, he names two. Agree or disagree with that . . . . that is mark richt refusing to conform to others thoughts. He will not bend, nothing more than, allow me this, the same thing that grantham suffers from . . . . ego. That happens when those in power get too full of themselves.
While some here and other places don't like to hear the richt thingy over and over . . . . I ask this . . . . By continuing to point out over and over again what could be done, got done. Those that want to remain in the same mode year after year, that is your choice, as it is my choice to scream from the rafters until something is changed, that starts at the top.
Ten or eleven wins might be ok, just want to know that we were in the game, not fighting internally over who did what. Simple things like doing something about the Special Teams. Mike Bobo said it well in a quote from Bill's article. Bobo said it might mean winning another game. You think? That in my opinion in contradictory to what his head coach has been saying for too long. Even the offensive coordinator understands the need for change. Guess Bobo is now anti richt.
